Freedom from God: Restoring the Sense of Wonder

Troubled by Religion
"Freedom from God" is a very personal case study in the psychology of self-fulfillment. Willson writes from a highly emotional space that makes his book come alive with the joys and pains of living. At the same time Willson brims with the wisdom of one who has integrated a sophisticated understanding of history, science, theology and human nature, with his personal struggle to make sense of his ...

A Nice Literary Trip
There is a hunger in everyone for something...the type and intensity of the hunger just varies from person to person. This book explores many types of hunger and a wide range of feelings experienced, if not readily admitted to, by everyone. When I read this book, I wasn't quite sure what to expect.'Hunger' is mysterious, haunting, and intriguing on many levels...and entertaining too! As I read ...

Blissfully fun to read!
I just hope she writes more books. Enjoyed this one so much I couldn't put it down. She puts you right there in Baja on the warm sand by the vivid blue sea. Her stories of her dog Ink add much to the pleasure of reading this cheerful book.

Powerful Story
I bought and read this book because I am the grandaughter of a refugee from post WWII Dansig. As a very young girl, I used to love to listen to my grandmother tell her stories about her flight from Dansig when the Russians invaded but I was too young to appreciate what she really went through and the true horror of what happened. This book filled in a lot of the holes and gave me a better ...

A Riveting and Thought Provoking Novel
Wow, "what if" keeps coming to my mind as I read this very well written novel. A very thought provoking and exciting book. I could easily envision the cramped quarters of the U-boat, the stench of humans and old food in a fight to survive. Most excellent. I recommend this to all peace-lovers and war-mongers!

Read this book...It's a blast!
I was supposed to read this book for a class called "Meet the Authors" about a year ago at the University of New Mexico, but finally got around to reading it a couple of weeks ago. As someone who grew up in eastern New Mexico, this book is a perfect description of life in one of those small towns. It had me laughing the whole time. If anyone happens to read this review...go ahead and buy this ...

Human Survival on a Plutonium-Contaminated Planet
Charles L. Hyder
Amador Publishers, 1999
This study brings closure to species survival arguments, by specifying via and Equation and its Graph what concentrations of Plutonium are required to cause species extinctions. The key variable is genome size. Amphibians have the largest of all animals, and are already suffering malformations and extinctions. Larger animals, especially carnivores, will certainly be next. Humans will not be immune.

Courtesy of Teens Read Too
Two years ago, I tried to write this book. Yes, I really did mean to say "write" instead of "read." I was determined to write a book set in a future where misuse of Earth's resources along with escalating international tensions had resulted in making the planet uninhabitable, forcing humanity outwards to the moon and Mars. I wanted to write a book about what it might be like for teenagers who ...
Duke City Tales
Harry Willson
Amador Publishers, 1993
Luminarias, balloons, atomic bombs, bats, false arrest, hunting, finding, moonwatching, DWI, cops, schools, litter, mufflers, stray dogs, and a fumbling old alchemist, who attempts to use his occult powers to bring about his goal of "peace and quiet," with results that are comical and less than satisfactory, giving pause to those of us who feel called upon to change the world. "Duke City" is Albuquerque -- the commercial, educational, ...

A VERY GOOD BOOK
I liked this book, the characters become part of your heart, and the love between them is very real. Another book that I would higly suggest to everyone .. .is the most beautiful love stoy I have ever read. .. Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher/ What a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties." I intended to give the book a quick read, but I ...

Correction!
In his very positive review of this book of mine, Thomas M. Sipos states that the volume is out of print. Not so! There are plenty of brand-new copies still left. As the author of THE PIANIST WHO LIKED AYN RAND, I want any interested parties to know this. That aside, my thanks to Mr. Sipos for his generous comments.
