It's very useful and efficient for pharmacist who work in hospital
it's very useful and efficient for the hospital pharmacist, actually I am. The book size is so small even sometimes hard to noticeable in your pocket. The dosage and indication is well defined. But if you are a bad eye-sight, you should select more bigger size. it's really small. Anyway, I'll recommend it to pharmacist if you are a vigorous person.

The best
I had the pocket version and wanted to see if a larger version had more info or is just larger print. Don't get both as they are identical as far as I can tell. The larger one has a ring binding, so you can lay it flat and look at it. Also, for those over 40 the print is bigger. The larger one would fit in an oversize pocket, but mine are too stuffed with other stuff to fit the big version.

The Sanford "Gilbert" Guide
As a family practice resident, I have found Sanford guide indispensible since my very first student wards rotation. Yes, it does take some getting used to, but if you take the time to explore its options and organization you will find it the best antimicrobial guide around. The only two books I carry every single day in my pocket are Sanford guide and Tarascon Pharmacopeia.

Great Reference
Not only does it fit in your pocket quite easily, it is a great help to have. As a pharmacy student, I must have the answers at the tips of my fingers if they aren't on the tip of my tongue. And this reference definately helps! Its organized to easily find the condition or bug that you are looking for to find the first line or other therapy. Other sections allow the reader to find comparisons ...

product needs more information
I would be careful buying this product because all that gets shipped is the cd with NO directions to set up. There are things such as product keys that were not available on the disc or the disc insert that you need in order to set up the product on your computer to transfer to the pda. When asking sanford for help they weren't much help either. if you're savvy with technology it probably won't ...

Check with your friendly drug rep first.
Not a bad little book to have in your pocket if you are a physician who takes care of HIV patients. Probably not at all helpful for anyone else. Nevertheless, if you take care of HIV patients, then you are probably already acquainted with drug reps who will likely get you a free copy in return for a few minutes of your time ;)
