Reasonable - Good Historical Materials
I've had cause to study this book a little for a course in Constitutional Problems at the University of Western Australia. Inevitably - while my requirements cannot be as detailed or exhaustive as that of my American friends, I found it a useful guide to the major cases and enjoyed the historical references. I particularly enjoyed the Race and the Constitution (equality and 14th amendment stuff) ...

Erwin Chemerinsky

the bible for con-law
If anyone is taking Constitutional Law and is using the Chemerinsky case book, this treatise is a MUST have. You can actually get along the semester perfectly without the big case book and just reading this treatise. It explains things way better than the big book. Unless you need to know the cases straight from the language in the case book, this is just enough to do very well in this class.

A great help!
A really great book, it finally brought some clarity to evidence. But be prepared to spend some time reading this book, as it has fairly in-depth coverage. Even so, I found it a very valuable study tool.

Quick delivery
This was the book I needed, the most recent edition, still in the shrinkwrap from the publisher. It was delivered quickly.

Good textbook...
I'm finding my torts class difficult at times, so I'm glad to have this book for my text. It has a lot of examples to illustrate each concept, which is helping me grasp all the ideas pretty well. Also, the book is not nearly as expensive as a lot of textbooks, so I feel I'm getting my money's worth out of it.

Buy It
I recently finished my first year at a top tier law school. This book did so much for me. If you are serious about getting good grades in CivPro, I think you should seriously consider this book. It forces you to understand the concepts and work through the rules, which is vital to doing well on exams. Don't stress about exams. This will help you.

A good casebook on all points.
This was my favorite casebook of my 1L classes. I have no complaints about it. Things I like: Plain English writing style, use of modern cases (Internet, etc.), extensive use of hypos as questions after cases, thought-provoking and difficult questions - many of them with answers or hints. If you can do these, you'll be prepared for whatever issues appear on exams.

Crim Law explained thoroughly
I bought this book because of the reviews that says how helpful it is to law students as they prepare for final exams. I believe it's reputation precedes itself. I just bought this book two months ago and had my boyfriend send it to me to the Philippines. I haven't finished reading it yet. That would be almost impossible. But with every page I read, I understand a little bit more about Criminal ...

Great last minute help and helpful throughout the term
I just had my first term exams and they went much smoother with the help of the crunchtime series. I will be using them for every class that I have that they are offered. The flow charts was the only section that did not work for me as that is not the thinking pattern that assists me. But some of the other students who I studied with used them and liked them it depends on how you organize, the ...

Very Useful
This book was great at explaining some of the weird property rules that are out there in a way that was very understandable, and most importantly, easy to remember. My property class was only one semester, so we didn't cover everything that was in the book, but I can attest to the personal property stuff, adverse possession, servitudes, landlord-tenant law, zoning, nuisance, and eminent domain.

How to Stumble Through Your First Trial Without Embarrassing Yourself
This book is absolutely fantastic. It's almost like a "Trials for Dummies" book for young attorneys and law students. Mauet's writing is easy to read and his advice is easy to follow. He provides examples that really drive home his points. This book should be assigned reading for every trial advocacy class. It was not assigned for my class but an attorney recommeded it to me and I found it ...

Great fun for the law hobbyist
I bought this book on a whim. For a long time I had been interested in law and wanted to see what studying it was all about. I don't think I could have picked a better place to start. From the word go this book delivered interesting cases with in-depth analysis at the end of each one. The analysis was especially helpful in picking apart the important points of law that the case represented. Now ...

Best Law Book Around
This book is the best law book that I have ever read. The cases are interesting and well abbreviated. The best part though - the notes before and after the cases. Chemerinsky does a great job of explaining what is going on. Instead of giving you ambiguous answers and rhetorical questions, this book actually explains the law. I will buy the next edition when it comes out, even though I ...
