Essentials of Anatomy And Physiology5 reviews
Ric Martini, Ed Bartholomew

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2006

Best educational physiology book!
I am a medicalstudent from Sweden. When I was about to begin studying anathomy and physiology the trouble was to find a book that gave the most knowledge in an easy, understandable way. After searching through all the books I found this one, Essentials of anathomy and physiology, the best buy all over.

Human Anatomy And Physiology2 reviews
Elaine Nicpon Marieb, Katja Hoehn

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2006

College student
I love this book because it is extremely thourough. When I was in anatomy class I had to teach the course to myself because the professor never taught anatomy. So I studied from this book and I got an A in the course. It gets in depth about the macroscopic AND microscopic anatomy and describes the anatomy/physiology/functions/and detailed pictures.

Human Anatomy5 reviews
Elaine Nicpon Marieb, Jon Mallatt, ...

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2007

One of the best text books I've read yet...
I have the new 5th edition. As a nursing student this text has been extremely easy to read and understand the concepts. It keeps you interested in the information with practical examples and lively dialogue and includes helpful memory tips. It also comes with a cd-rom and access to a web site that really help you study and review the material. My only complaint is the chemistry chapter (Chpt. 2) ...

Biology3 reviews
Neil A. Campbell

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2005

Basic Biology
This book has been enormously helpful for me! Although it is HUGE and HEAVY to lug around, I know that the material that is inside is both interesting and accurate. The concepts are explained in terms for lay people, and the pictures/graphs they use are usually helpful to re-define points. Would I buy this book for fun? Likely not, but for the class I'm taking that requires it I don't ...

Microbiology: Alternate Edition With Disease By Body System3 reviews
Robert W. Bauman, Elizabeth Machunis-Masuoka, ...

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2006

useful textbook
I found the text a must-buy for my microbiology class. Without it I would have been lost. The parasites, viruses and bacteria were described with utmost clarity. Microbiology Study Guide by Patrick Leonardi had great test questions to study from. I also used Microbiology Made Ridciously Simple as a reference.

Human Physiology: An Integrated Approach1 review
Dee Unglaub, Ph.D. Silverthorn

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2006

Great Textbook
I think this is my favorite textbook. It is clear, concise, and very easy to use. The index and the glossary are combined so that when you look up a word you get the definition and where to find out more about it in the text. The DVD that comes with it is also very good.

Biology: Concepts & Connections24 reviews

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2004

Good introductory biology text
This is a great text for anyone taking an introductory college-level biology course. The writing style is simple and easy to understand, unlike many other science textbooks. Despite being very easy to read, it contains a good amount of information.

Biology5 reviews
Martha R. Taylor, Neil A. Campbell, ...

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2001

Biology: Student Study Guide, Sixth Edition
It's a condense textbook basically ,covering everything you need to know about the textbook, although it shouldn't be anyone's substitute to the text, the study guide provides a good guide to what to know and expect on exams. It also offers more questions to practice and to familiarize yourself with, and that always helps.

Study Guide Essential Biology4 reviews
Edward J. Zalisko

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2003

Depth and Accuracy
Campbell and Reece are best known as the authors of the hefty and excellent "Biology", now in it's 6th edition used by undegraduate biology majors and AP Biology students. "Essential Biology" uses a different approach. The authors have packed a great deal into this amazingly small textbook. I recently reviewed a huge number of introductory biology texts for adoption in our school district. We ...

Good statistics book
I got this book for a class and found it to be interesting and relatively easy to read for a statistics book.

Biology103 reviews
Neil A. Campbell

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 1990

This is the book other biology texts want to be when they grow up
Hands down, Campbell's Biology is the most beautifully written and illustrated biology textbook on the market and has remained so through many, many editions. I am a plant biologist and was pleased to see that even at the introductory level, this book gave plant life equal prominence with animal biology. If you want to fall in love with biology, this is the text to get you there. Campbell and ...

General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry: Structures of Life6 reviews
Karen Timberlake

Benjamin-Cummings Publishing Company, 2003

Amazing Read
I have to admit that this is the most interesting books I've ever read. If you want to know how the basics of life all tie together and form the world and existance around you then this is for you. This book has seriously opened up the world to me. I cannot look at anything around me like I used to. I recommend getting and reading this book solo. The way it is written makes it perfectly ...
