David Goes To School (David)45 reviews

Blue Sky Press, 1999

Wonderful Book!!!
This storybook is great for grades K-3rd. This story teaches the good and bad side of things especially in a school setting. This book is geared towards first time school goers who are learning good behaviors in school. With minimal lines, Shannon shows excitement, sorrow, and anxiety in David's emotions that is familiar in all children. The wonderful and wacky illustrations are drawn from a ...

Great book for girls too!
My daughter, who is not quite three, loves this book. In fact this book has started an infatuation with dinosaurs. She wants me to read it to her all the time and the illustrations are awesome.

Blue Sky Press, 2002

Very good book ! Good message to youth.
This was simply a good read for youth or perhaps for anyone. The story sent out a message concerning discrimination, learning and coping with change, and growing and evolving into a stronger human being. Thumbs up !

Oh, David!30 reviews

Blue Sky Press, 2005

Holds attention of babies
We started reading this book at 5 months. By 8 mos my son would point to familiar objects like the spoon with food on it. It is long enough to have substance, but short enough to hold the attention of the youngest reader. Minimal words, mostly drawn pictures. My son is a year now and still likes it; this one features common phrases like "Hold still," and "Go to sleep!"

The Apple Pie Tree4 reviews
Zoe Hall

Blue Sky Press, 1996

A favorite!
This book is a favorite for me and my 3 year old son. We love following the apple tree from winter to fall with the two sisters. They're growing "the best part of apple pie" right in their yard. It's help to teach him about the seasons as well as the process of growing something and the pride in having a hand in creating something. He is enthralled by the collage style illustrations and ...

Dog Heaven
Beautifully illustrated with bright, bold colors, this touching text will make you smile at the same time it brings tears to your eyes. It is perfect for anyone, adult or child, who has had to say good-by to a much loved and faithful companion.

The Captain Underpants Extra-Crunchy Book O' Fun17 reviews
Dav Pilkey

Blue Sky Press, 2001

Struggling reader loves the Extra-Crunchy Book
My nine year old book hater loves this book! So it's silly and full of potty humor; IT GETS HIM READING! My brand new copy is now bent and riffled, and it got him interested enough to start reading the "chapter books". Hurray for Captain Underpants!

David Gets in Trouble29 reviews

Blue Sky Press, 2002

It's Not His Fault!
David's always in trouble, whether he pulls the cat's tail-he says she likes it- or sticks his finger in the cake-leaving evidence all over his face. This book is just as cute as the other 'No, David' books. Once again, David Shannon helps every child- and adult- understand David's world with his simple, yet beautiful pictures and simple phrases. My boys love it and I do, too.

How Do Dinosaurs Learn Their Colors12 reviews
Jane Yolen

The Blue Sky Press, 2006

Favorite book!
We love these dinosaurs books. They are for kids of all ages and for boy OR girl. They are so cute and teach a lesson. This one is about colors and though it isn't my favorite of the series, it is very good. I love the pictures and so does my daughter

Dumb Bunnies Collection (Dumb Bunnies)5 reviews

The Blue Sky Press, 2007

My son loves this book!
My son is an expert on good children's books. He is now 8 years old and has been listening and/or reading children's books all his life. His sister, too and she is 12. If he likes them - you should read them, too. Since my daughter also likes this book - you should buy an extra copy for a niece or nephew, too!

Cat Heaven61 reviews

Blue Sky Press, 1997

I WOULD GIVE IT 100 STARS IF I COULD
Although this book is primarily written for a young audience who have lost beloved cats, it is equally comforting to adults. I am 56 years old and with my husband of 31 years, rescue sick and abandoned kittens. Although our intent is to foster them until a good home is found, by the time they are well and old enough to be placed, we are too in love with them to send them away. We have, however, ...
