Safe Exercise Routines that Generate Results!
I would rate this book and dvd higher if I could! I purchased it to help my 10 year old son develop better strength, speed and agility for football season. He plays center and nose tackle and is a little over 5 feet tall and about 125 lbs. Last year (his first playing tackle football), he didn't have great movement and didn't make many tackles. After going through this program in 6 weeks, he ...

Superb
Well structured, well written, highly informative! My son is making very good progress as we work through this book. I have spent many years as a military and commercial pilot instructor dealing with all sorts of instructional manuals for dynamic rather than just classroom instruction. This one is excellent.

Gender & Competition: How Men and Women Work and Play Differently
For men coaching women (which is happening frequently these days), this is a must read. After watching a disastrous high school male coaching flop that led to humiliation for most of the girls on the team last year, (and having been a former high school standout athlete coached by a woman), the author hits every legitimate point in the difference of the sexes with regard to competitive sports. ...

Great imformation about the hottest defense of the future
Coaching Football's 40 Nickle Defense, by Jeff Walker, is the most extensive and complete guide to coordinating a defense to stop all offensive attacks. The 40 Nickle Defense employs an eight man front while at the same time covering all eight passing zones. Coach Walker, position by position, covers stance, alingnment, and keys. Coach Walker gives the reader a lot of imformation and ...

The Fitness Business is the Hospitality Business
This is the book that I used in a college-level hospitality course. My department-hospitality management-was interested in showing that the principles and orientations of a successful hotel or restaurant applied to many other businesses as well. One of the obvious choices was the fitness/spa business which depends on customer perception of value received and on a strict attention to cost ...

Dugout Wisdom transcends sports to the business world.
The amount of quality managers and coaches he interviewed is outstanding, and putting it all together with the ten principles really clarified for me what the top managers do. As a business professional I feel I can transfer much of these principles into my life, because we're all dealing with people, whether it's sports or business. I really liked the chapter on Forming a Covenant, and having ...

Every coach needs to read this book!!
This book is essential for every coach in any sport. Bruce Brown does an excellent job of hitting on the issues of what coaches need to think about, but so often get missed in the whole scheme of things. Coaching is so much more than just knowing the particular x's and o's, and reading this book helps the present or future coach realize that. I would recommend Teaching Character Through Sport to ...

Good source of encouraging words to pass on to others.
A source of real encouragement in a form for any age to be inspired by. Mr Bielat's book on winning words of champions... was an immediate interest when I first read lines from it to see if I should purchase it. Well worth the investment. Soooooo... next I went back to the bookstore to buy another copy after learning that someone in my family fell in love with a quote from the book. That person ...
