One of KiKi's Best
KiKi had it all in this book: drama, suspense, lots of killing, explicit sex, drugs, deception and the plot was soo deep. Everybody in this book was crooked. I especially loved the way that it ended. I never saw it coming. I love it when a book throws a curve ball at me (just when I think I know it all)... At least a 5 Star book.....

Showing the other side of the dope game
Very good book. Realism at its finest. Makes one accept the fact that not all are going to make it. I appreciated Ms. Swinson showing the other side of the drug world. The side where the lives of people and the innocent members of their families are ruined. The utter waste caused by the drug epidemic. Street life is not all glitter and glamour. It is filthy, grimy, and a disgraceful ...

Ghetto But Great!
Ghetto is probably an understatement! I almost put this book down because of the author's spelling, grammar, and redundant use of the same phrases repeatedly. It usually is not too bothersome when the character's dialogue is in Ebonics but it really gets under my skin when the naration is as well! Once I decided to just deal with it and got into this novel, I couldn't put it down! I am actually ...

Mary Monroe Is a Gifted Author
Like everything Mary Monroe, has written "God Ain't Through Yet" is GREAT! To fully get the best of this book, I suggest you start at the begining and read "God Don't Like Ugly" that's where everything starts, Mr. Boatwright and older man who everybody thinks is so nice he goes to live with Madear and Annette she was 7, and he started rapping her, she turns to her best friend Rhoda, who "Takes ...

Ms. Clark Does It Again!
Very quick read, if you enjoy her writing style, you won't be disappointed. There are some vicious things going on in this book, I'm not sure if you can trust anyone. Even the friends are dishing dirt on their own friends. Can't get any hood-ier than this lol.

The Truth Shall Set You Free
THE TRUTH IS THE LIGHT is a fascinating novel of redemption, love, and family. Ransom "Gramps" Perdue has seen much in his ninety-nine years. As a young man, he was put in prison for an act forbidden during those times. Once released, the one person he loved more than anyone has vanished from his life forever. Gramps was good working with his hands and loved making things out of wood. ...

Not what I expected
I agree with another reader that had read all the previous GOD series. This was boring and took me a loooooonnnngggng time to finish. I am glad I did not purchase it but instead checked it out from the library. It was so boring and such a hard read that I had to recheck it out to finish it just because I hate to leave anything undone. And I only restarted it 2 days before it was due for the ...

jad me at the edge of my seat
Thug matrimony was a very good book but the ending had me so mad i cant stop thinking about Trae and Tasha. I know they are not real people but washida knows how to make fiction feel like real life drama. I feel like Tasha just threw away all the love she had for Trae in the trash way to early on Kyron I mean she doesn't even know him that well to kick Trae to the side. Yeah I know Trae cheated ...
