Great book! Will Nikki write a book for Season 3?
My daughter and I got "Lost" in the middle of Season 2, so we bought the DVDs for Season 1 & 2 and read the accompanying chapters from this book as we went along. Enlightening and fun! We hope Nikki Stafford will publish a book for Season 3 before Season 4 starts.

A TRULY INTERESTING READ
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK CONCERNING THE DOWNFALL OF WCW. THIS BOOK TAKE US FROM GEORGIA WRESTLING NWA AND FINALLY WCW. THE DETAILED SOAP OPERA AND STORY LINES BROUGHT BACK THE GREAT MEMORIES I HAD OF THIS ONCE GREAT WRESTLING ORGANIZATION. AT ONE TIME IT'S MONDAY SHOW OF NITRO DOMINATED THE WWE. ONLY TO SEE IT FADE AWAY DUE TO STUPID SPENDING, OVER USED PERSONNEL AND A LACK OF FRESH STORYLINES ...

Wild Years: The Music And Myth Of Tom Waits
Wild Years by Jay S. Jacobs ***** Of all the musical biographies I have ever read (and I have read a lot), this is by far the best. Wild Years is painstakingly researched, never boring, clear cut, unapologetic, highly informative, and most of all entertaining. The man that is Tom Waits, is far removed from his public persona. Wild Years kills all the rumours, and exaggerations, it releases ...

a great retrospective
"Contents Under Pressure", is a good book for the long time Rush fan who has fond memories of early Rush shows. The photography brought me back to certain eras of the long and illustrious career of one of the truly entertaining bands in the history of rock and roll. It also serves as an insight to the band for the recent Rush fan who may be interested in learning more about the journey that has ...

Traveling Music: Playing Back the Soundtrack to My Life and Times

Neil Peart
Ecw Press, 2004
I've never thought I'd know so much about Frank Sinatra!
Both the content and the cohesion of this memoir are clear, strong, and good. The overall architecture is better than Ghost Rider and Roadshow, actually coming full circle both literally and metaphorically. He's a fun person, and it's a blast to get invited along to travel in his Beamer (I wonder if his wife and his Mom are as scandalized of the speeds he drives at as I am) with great music ...

A House/Hugh rewiew
Although I have not yet finished reading this book, the chapters I've read through have given me some insight into Hugh Laurie, himself ... an extremly intelligent and interesting man! He also seems very self-depreciating an admirable quality for such a multi talented Brit?American superstar! Paul Challen makes this Bio an enjoyable and humorous read. I highly recomend it.

Finally, a Book that Makes Odds Easy to Understand
Finally, a book that makes odds, probabilities and expectation easy to understand. The book is well written and the math is easy to follow. Also, it is the only book I know of that deals with the odds in Omaha. Well worth the money!

The Assimilation
In the book The Assimilation, the authors provide a definitive glimpse into the outlaw biker phenomenon, the 1%er culture. At one time or another we've all seen them, displaying the regalia indicating the intense loyalty to their motorcycle clubs, the various 3 patch colors screaming their presence to the wary public. Every marking, every patch, every pinned item has its own special meaning. And ...

BEYOND ANOTHER DIMENSION!
I highly recommend this rarity of a book! My favorite part was the 8 page interview with Bill Mumy who played in three episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE "Long Distance Call," "It's a Good Life" and "In Praise of Pip." - Three of my favorites. I really enjoyed the never before scene pictures of him as well. Also, another perk for me was the pic of Terry Burnham who starred in the episode ...

Martin Popoff
Ecw Press, 2007
Highly readable chronicling of Priest's 35-year history
"Judas Priest: Heavy Metal Painkillers" is a very good chronicling of the band's 35-year history by Martin Popoff. The book is 380 pages and full of colored photos and illustrations of band members, album covers, magazine covers, etc. Popoff devotes 25 chapters to tell Priest's story, one chapter per each official studio & live album, as well as chapters devoted to "the early years" and all ...

Complete Sabbath History in Detail
Martin Popoff knows his hard rock and heavy metal and this book is excellent. He goes into detail about every lp ever released and goes into depth about the songwriting at the time the songs were written. Tony Iommi's riffs are legendary and so are the details about the history of Black Sabbath in this book. This is a must read for any Black Sabbath or hard rock fan, it has everything, from Ozzy ...

Heart: In the Studio

Jake Brown
Ecw Press, 2008
just what the title promises
took off a star because this book badly needed some more editing, the chronology jumped around sometimes, there was repetition using quotes and stories, and sometimes a misspelled name, place or Heart song title that maybe only diehard Heart wonks like me will notice but should be correct in a book that's about Heart. BUT four stars because Jake Brown really does exactly what the title says: ...

Best fighter's story I've read
I've read Chuck, Matt and Tito's books, Randy, Ken and B.J.'s autobiographies in the beginning of their books, and this is the best (with Tito's a close second). Although I'm a big MMA fan, I was never a huge fan of Jens until this book. Jens could have turned out to be a janitor and this would still be an incredible story. I was surprised not only by his story, but his admirable honesty and ...
The Masked Rider: Cycling in West Africa

A great story about a great adventure
I am always interested in good real life adventures. This story is about Neil's perspective on his adventure through a remote part of Africa that most westerns would never have the courage to try. I am personally a person that has traveled most places of the world, including Africa, but exposing myself to the elements the way Neil and his other five cycling buddies did is something I wouldn't ...
