Innocent140 reviews
Scott Turow

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

A Superb Follow-Up
While he may not have invented the legal thriller, Scott Turow certainly helped usher in the era of the legal thriller twenty years ago with his best-seller "Presumed Innocent." And while Turow has revisited some of the supporting characters of "Presumed Innocent" in his subsequent novels, he's always avoided a direct sequel to the book that put him and the legal thriller on the map. Until ...

Robert Ludlum's (TM) The Bourne Objective (Jason Bourne)12 reviews
Eric Van Lustbader

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

Fun summer reading
I read this over a span of two or three days while on vacation. I have always enjoyed the Bourne novels and continue to do so. To compare Lustbader with Ludlum is unfair they are totally different authors. Lustbader's stand well on there own. My only issue is keeping the Russian names straight, but that is extends to midestern names as well and is my problem. Looking forward to his next novel.

Nelson DeMille

Book review
I devour all Nelson DeMille's books, which I have read several times, and anxiously wait for the sequal to The Lion's Game due soon, in June???.....I recommend Mr. DeMille to anyone who wants an exceptionally entertaining, witty read. My reading circle are all in love with John Corey and can't wait for the next thrilling adventure....

As usual Baldacci comes through with a thriller from cover to cover, a must read for sure.

Rage of Angels112 reviews
Sidney Sheldon

Grand Central Publishing, 1988

Amazing.
This book was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and am a little saddened by the book's harsh lesson, but overall a remarkable piece.

Fever Dream110 reviews
Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

That's More Like It
After the horrendous last two Pendergast books by Preston and Child I was ready to give up the series for good. Thankfully, I didn't. Fever Dream reminded me why I love this series. After a string of 10 books I couldn't finish, I was starting to think I was just not in the mood for reading. It took a great book for me to realize that it wasn't reading I was against, just bad books, and Fever ...

Presumed Innocent100 reviews
Scott Turow

Grand Central Publishing, 2000

As a lawyer, I loved this book
I have heard Scott Turow described as "the thinking man's John Grisham," and to the extent that the expression is a compliment, this debut novel justifies the praise. I had read two minor Turow novels before this one, so I was familiar with one of the minor characters (Turow sets his stories in the fictional Kindle County, and familiar faces pop up from book to book) and Turow's intriguing ...

Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang136 reviews
Chelsea Handler

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

Life As A Never-Ending Comedy
I especially liked her supposed recounting of life as a youngster with parents too cheap to believe. The adult-child - adult dialogue was great. On the other hand, may be it was true!

The Last Song
The Last Song is one of my favorites by Nicholas Sparks. It is emotional and inspirational. Very good book.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter150 reviews
Seth Grahame-Smith

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

I'm obsessed!!
I initially purchased this book because I love vampire stories, but fell in love after the first few pages! This book took me by surprise because it's not your typical vampire book, and I unknowingly drank in the characterization of Abraham Lincoln. I could barely put the book down! I saw glimpses of Abe in myself or people in my life, as he dealt with issues that we all face in our lives. It's ...

The Charm School216 reviews
Nelson DeMille

Grand Central Publishing, 1999

Life imitates art.
Just finished reading this great thriller, and now we have in the news events which could be lifted straight from its sequel. Does it get any better than this? DeMille is a master in this genre, and his plots are so real they indeed could be, it's hard to distinguish fact from fiction. Just get it and enjoy. Sorry, but I need to get back to reading his latest, The Lion, on my kindle.

Alex Cross's TRIAL168 reviews
James Patterson, Richard DiLallo

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

Alex Cross's Trial
This wasn't James Patterson's usual line of story, but as we fans know, he doesn't always write within "the box", which is good, of course! But he did stay inside his usual "box" in the way that this was an action packed, page turning novel. It was also a sad and emotional story that most people can relate to because, unfortunately, prejudice people are everywhere. James Patteron has kept me ...

1st to Die (The Women's Murder Club)573 reviews
James Patterson

Grand Central Publishing, 2005

Just Another Great Patterson Read
Finished my first Woman's Murder Club book today and it did not disappoint at all. It had more than the usual twists and turns of a Patterson book and was fun to see things through the ladies eyes. I am finding that if nothing gets to me and I have a ton of books to consume, Patterson ALWAYS grabs me right from the first page. So now I get a 2nd Chance and am looking forward to it.

The Survivors Club: The Secrets and Science that Could Save Your Life148 reviews
Ben Sherwood

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

The Survivors Club
This was one of the most fascinating books I've ever read . . . couldn't put it down until I was finished reading it. It's amazing how the mind and body work together under extreme stress and pressure, especially when you know what to expect and how to cope with emergency situations. I purchased 7 copies of the book and gave them to graduating seniors this year.

Plum Island355 reviews
Nelson DeMille

Grand Central Publishing, 2002

An Engrossing Well Written Suspense Novel
I can be a bit biased when it comes to Mr. Demille's novels. Living on Long Island, where many of his stories take place, I know they are spot on geographically & by description, as well. The author tells this story very well. It's long, but not boring by any means. His characters are developed very well. They almost pop off the pages at you. I know Plum Island & the surrounding North Fork ...

Backseat Saints44 reviews
Joshilyn Jackson

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

Backseat Saints
I've read all of her books, and love the southern characters. No offense to the north, but down south, being odd is the norm which makes it more fun. She makes you care about the characters, gives them that little extra dimension.

Swimsuit244 reviews
James Patterson, Maxine Paetro

Grand Central Publishing, 2010

first time reading a James Patterson book
This was my first James Patterson book and I thought it was really good. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Dear John505 reviews
Nicholas Sparks

Grand Central Publishing, 2009

My Favorite Book
I just finished reading Dear John, and I'm still in tears because of the ending. I loved every bit of the book so much, and even though I wish things might have worked out differently for John and Savannah, the fact that it doesn't end like a fairy tale makes me love it that much more. Nicholas Sparks is amazing at creating great stories with lessons in them, but not making the book seem too ...
