Timothy George

Wonderful!
What a great book. Takes the doctrine of sovereignty in relation to man's responsibility and makes it so easy to understand while being firmly grounded in the truth of God's Word. Simple enough for a teenager and deep enough for a scholar. Dispells common problems with Calvinism and Arminianism. Thanks Timothy George!

This is a great cookbook with exchanges. I LOVE the tortilla soup recipe especially because eating vegetables is challenging. I use homegrown canned tomatoes!

Wonderful study on Philippians
Tianne does a great job teaching the reader how to break each verse down so that it can be understood. She teaches several different methods which make applying the scripture to life and really gaining deeper understanding achievable and enjoyable. I am thoroughly enjoying this bible study and highly recommend it. This study is verse by verse which does lend itself to longer time in daily ...

Faith at work in your relationships (Faith discipleship)

Bret Renee Robbe
Lifeway Press, 2000
Excellent Read for the FAITH Participant!
Robbe has written an excellent title for the person involved in the FAITH witnessing program to use what is learned to reach others outside a church environment (neighborhood, work, community). The book centers around using the FAITH outline not as just a canned presentation, but a lifestyle that draws others to Jesus Christ. Read and enjoy! Highly recommended!

Great workbook!
This is a wonderful workbook for young children. I think grades 3-6 is ideal, especially if they are a good reader in grade 3. The book is very well organized, very interactive, very well thought out. It helps children understand what it means to be a Christian and makes it very clear to the child that God will never stop loving them. I love the way it encourages use of the bible, prayer, ...

Incredible Insight
A friend of mine gave this to me to read. This book was absolutely amazing. The insight that Beth shares is incredible. Beth lays it all out there for us to see and understand in her down home Texas way. She's absolutely great. She not only addresses what happens, but gives many examples of how and why these things happen. Beth also gives step by step instructions for recovery. What a mighty ...

Don't get remarried without it!!!
Ideally, reading this book before remarriage will help you deal with, or even avoid entirely, issues unique to the stepfamily. If you've already remarried, read it anyway-it's never too late. This author understands where you and your spouse are coming from, what the kids, parents, in-laws, and exes are going through, and how God would have us deal with all of them. This book includes practical ...

H. Norman Wright

Must Reading For Those in Grief
Norm writes from personal experience... outstanding material that helps the reader understand the meaning of grief, predictable recovery stages, and how to help others with their losses. Most importantly, Norm helps the reader to come to grips with grief in a holistic view...unmasking grief issues that may have been buried for years yet left unaddressed...only because we typically confine ...

Not a workbook
I ordered 7 copies of this book for my small group thinking this was the Experiencing God workbook. I wanted to make sure everyone knows this is not the workbook. The original book done a decade ago was redone and they added little questions through out the book. That is what this book is. If you are looking for the adult workbook it has a partially red cover. I can say that I love this book and ...
Spiritual warfare

The BEST well rounded Spiritual Warfare workbook!!!
My friend and I did this workbook together. I am very interested in spiritual warfare and have many books on it. This is BY FAR the best book that I have read/done. It is not extreme and way out there. It is very biblical and hits topics of different avenues. From hearing God's voice, to condemnation vs conviction, to binding and loosing. I absolutely LOVED it. I am actually going to go ...
God's invitation: A challenge to college students

Great Bible study for college students
I was so excited to find this Bible study at my local bookstore. I have always heard great things about the Blackaby's Experiencing God series and was glad to see that they had created a study just for college students. The thing that I admire most about the Blackaby's way of teaching is that they bring you truth from the Word of God, not their own philosophies or ideas. God's Invitation to ...

Charles W Colson
LifeWay Press, 2000
A Great Worldview Primer for Discipleship
As my title suggests, Colson's book would be a great worldview primer for discipleship purposes. In a day and age where people believe that creation is an accident and God is a non-issue, we have to begin by demonstrating that it is more logical to look to a Creator than to presume that all of creation is a coincidence, what Colson called pre-evangelism. To take it a step further, many people ...
