fun and educational
I Can Sing en Francais is fun and educational. The songs are a fun way to learn a new language because they have a nice melody and they deal with the basic words in French that beginners should know. Savez-Vous Planter Les Choux is my favorite song on the tape. The song lyrics in French and English are included in the book.

One of the funniest books of all time!
One of the funniest books that gets the least credit. My entire family and I regularly consult this book when in need of a good laugh. This book has shaped my opinion of every part of Europe I've never been to, because it is absoutely correct about every part I have been to!

A must have for northern exposure fans
This cookbook is so much fun and a must for any northern exposure fan. All the recipes you heard mentioned from Adam and the zabaglione he whipped up for Eve on their first date to the Cassoulet Chris had at the monastery. It has a little intro to each recipe done in character by the character. There are simple funny recipes like Joel's Jell-O and Marilynn's potatoes and more detailed ones ...

This book is the winner
This book is one to have! This book is what I call the greatest beginners book to waterfowl. It takes you step by step, thru different breeds (Canvasback & Green-winged teal), types (Dabblers & divers), and the anatomy of the birds. It is a great book for any waterfowl painter or Waterfowl carving beginning artist to invest in. It has helped me a lot and it has helped my other fellow artist out ...

Great Oral History of th AFL
I've read this book three times. There's nothing better to read sports history than an oral history of the subject by the men who played, coached, and wrote the game. The AFL was a rogue league at the beginning of the most tumultuous decade of the 20th century, the 1960's, rosters filled of castoff's, has-beens, and never-was players from the NFL. Yet, in a short span of time, the teams from ...

Absolutely super!
Fun, easy and very efficient. Excellent audio, slow enough for a beginner, excellent dialogues with the kind of words and structures you need in a foreign country. The language is explained in a way that makes it easy to understand. There are absolutely lots of exercises to practice what you are learning. This is a course I strongly recommend.

Informative and fun to read
I used this book for one of my classes and I was dreading having to read a book about biology and diseases. After reading the first chapter I got hooked, and couldn't set the book down. I read it in three days while I was out hiking in the woods and it made me a little paranoid about ticks that might be in the grass and other insects! The book definitely makes you think about every living ...

The book is enthralling!
The book is very good. I learned alot about the clans byreading this book. The glossary is very good. The book even includes a map to pinpoint the worlds mentioned. The BTech universe is brought to new heights with this book. The drama was good, and Romano Liao's death was an interesting twist. All in all, a must read.

Sit a spell.......and read this book!
I became hooked on this author's books with the first one I bought (about the Munchkins), so it's no surprise that I love this one too! Once again, it's full of rare photographs, little known trivia and fascinating tid-bits. Even if you only had a passing interest in The Beverly Hillbillies, you're going to love this book. And if you're a fan of the show......you're going to be in Seventh Heaven ...

Outstanding!
The 1998 baseball season was truly one of the most magic in recenty years, thanks in part to the "home run battle" between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. This book chronicles their achievement which I suspect will grow to legendary tones in the years to come. The sportmanship between these two hereos was evident all season long, and the book reflects that. Perhaps it was fitting that McGwire should ...

Capital
This is a very effective piece of economic reporting and must be one of the most acute pictures of 'capital in the raw' that I have read, a desmerizing tonic to the endless litany of neoliberal triumphalism. Neither Marxist, nor doctrinaire, it unwittingly scores a bullseye of indirect marxist analysis of the one-and-the-same process that is the invariant of the capitalist system. This isn't ...

A "must read" for everyone; a "must have" for enthusiasts!
Tony Salin's collection of stories in "Baseball's Forgotten Heroes" is a reminder that baseball's charm is created by more than the superstars that the media cling to when trying to get the average fan's attention. As much as I enjoy reading about Williams or DiMaggio, Baseball's Forgotten Heroes is a fresh approach that I hope will set a standard for future volumes. Throughout history, ...

Good Cheap Food
I first picked up this book in the '70's when I was living "off the land" in Colorado. It worked then as well as it does now; with time-tested, not be be had elsewhere, recipes. I still find myself caught up in her funny, entertaining writing style. And the recipe for Brunswick Stew is not to be left untested!
