QFT for the rest of us
I've found this book to be by far the most accessible QFT book for undergraduates like me. It is also, by the way, an ideal book to complement Griffiths: his book covers the phenomenology, while this book covers the theory. My biggest problem with this book is the fact that he only briefly mentioned renormalization in an example on page 133, but a more thorough discussion of renormalization ...

Beyond Informative!
To begin, the entire Amazon experience was great. The product itself was the icing on the cake. Any aspiring pilots, or veterans, should consider this a "must read" publication. It clarifies many misled bits of advice, about flight, and makes knowledge of aircraft easily understood.

The ageless classic continues to be the best
Harrison's continues to be the best book for medical students learning Internal Medicine and a complete reference book for practicing physicians. The new formatting and colored charts and images are the best so far , compared to previous editions , this edition really enhances the learning experience. *Superb* Self-Teaching Instrument
I applaud Rhonda Huettenmueller and whole heartedly agree with the R. Orchanian review (the New York teacher). The very best available that absolutely takes the mystery out of this area of mathematics. The sequence of the chapters is superb, clear, concise and very, very accurate. It includes process steps that are left out of many *so called* self-teaching guides which leaves many students ...

GREAT
This is probably one of the best organized and satright forward aviation books I've come across. VEry well thought and the way the information is laid out makes it much easier to understand since it's progressive following a logical order of ideas, revisiting concepts from some questions to others that relate in order for the reader to fully apply all the knowledge in understanding more complex ...

Besides just being large and heavy, this book is filled with great information. For a beginner, it can be overwhelming, but it is definitely a book every designer should have on their bookshelf. The Most Connon typ of Construction
Now in it's sixth edition, this book has become the standard text on the design and construction of buildings made of wood. While most wooden structures are residences, the book also covers multi story wooden structures such as apartment houses, commercial buildings with wooden roofs, and to a limited extent newer techniques such as glue-laminate beams. The book is suitable for use either as a ...

Plethora of information that does not require a doctorate to understand
The book was very well written and an excellent resource for someone who needs to understand how the different aspects of a pool or spa work. Certain readers may find some of the information too detailed. However, this reader being a new pool owner and an engineer greatly appreciated the comprehensive explanations that were provided. The text includes a plethora of information pertaining to ...

4 years of college between the covers
The fun thing about this book is that it has everthing you learned (or should have learned) getting your Engineering degree. It's all there! It usually takes some time to sort thru what all the vaiables mean, and often you have to flip between look up tables, but it is so charming to find EVERYTHING in one spot in a book so small you can carry it in your front pocket.

Concise, complete, no frills, need to know information
I am a physician, now retired, and have used, and use, this book for years. I get a new update every two years. IMHO it gives a great review and complete synopsis of many many medical problems. It is paperback. There are no photos, nor graphics. It is well written and well organized. The layout on the pages (using blue titles) makes it easy to read and follow. I highly recommend it.
