Disappointing
Ultimately, not a bad book overall. However, I'm greatly disappointed in that the title indicates a "Comprehensive" text on Peds ER care. At best, this is an introductory text on Peds ER care. Although well written and illustrated, nearly all topics are under developed for the needs of the experienced Peds ER RN. I have found this book useful in orienting new staff, but it was not the ...

Easily Understood
I was issued these books as part of my paramedic program. I haven't looked at any other books of this type, but I will say that the way the author lays out the different rythms and covers them in such a way, that it makes it easy for the beginner student to understand. The pocket reference is great and is small enough to carry with you for fast reference. Highly recommended. The helpful ...

This book is written in a case study format that helps practicing paramedics and paramedic students focus on the presenting signs and symptoms of various illnesses and injuries. In addition to that, each case is followed by a number of questions that one can use to study each illness or injury that is covered in the text. Having been a practicing paramedic for almost a decade, I have found that ...

Ever So Much Better Than Brady
I used the competing Brady Paramedic Text about three years ago and was shocked at the huge number of contradicitions and outright errors in it. I am a National Registry medic but I recently read this Text in preparing for a written exam in another state that does not offer reciprocity. Mosby's book is EVER SO MUCH BETTER. It has a consistency that aids the learner rather than causing ...

Well written
This is perhaps the best pocket-sized book one will find on the market. It has great illustrations and covers all areas of cardiology and common ECG strips. However, my instructor said he had mixed opinions about this book relating to how accurate some of the ECG strips are?
