Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!
It is a tremendous grace that a friend directed me towards this dear book, and because of it I will never be the same. This book is a jar that has been carefully filled at the fountain of living waters. "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good." I have tasted and seen here... This book will take you soaring on the winds of the manifold Glories of God. He is the treasure to be ultimately ...

life changing book!
What a great, great book! I just finished it and told my daughter when she finishes reading it, I am going to read it again. So many life lessons. You could feel God's presence throughout the whole read.

Do Hard Things
I don't mean to have a dig, but this book is so much more superior to any emerging church book written, and it is written by teenagers. Alex and Brett Harris discuss the issue of low expectations which are not just laid upon teens but is accepted by teens and teen culture of play and fun. For the Harris' enough is enough. They want to blow away the notion that teens are unable to understand ...

In your face, motivating book
This is one of the better Christian books I have read over the past decade. The book challenges us to rise to the call on our lives and is an interesting read.

Amazing
I bought this book from the recommendation of my sister in law - who said it made a big difference in her life. I was a little skeptical but considering my husband and I had been fighting a lot recently I decided it was worth a shot. This is probably the best money I have spent on a book in a while. I read this sitting on a plane - and was totally engulfed. I finished it within a few ...

A must for anyone who does public speaking.
I've always enjoyed Andy's storytelling approach in applying lessons. This guideline is so fundamentally sound and with practice will help you be so effective in getting your message across. I cannot recommend this book enough. I purchased several for my staff and close leadership friends who often struggle in preparing for their meetings. Get it! You won't be dissapointed.

Brennan Manning

Great medicine for the anxiety of life...
There are so many 'Christian' books out there that are inspiring, but not theologically sound. This one is a true exception. Manning manages to blend good theology with real hope and inspiration. This is a wonderful book for any Christian who might need to know that God is, above all, unrelenting and scandalous love!!!

Eye Opening and Entertaining!
No wonder Donald Miller is such a great writer! He gets to listen to Rick Mckinley EVERY WEEK! This book was an awesome read. The first two sections were really good, but they were just the appetizers for the real meat of the book, the third section. I had to readjust my whole Christian way of thinking! Well, not really, but I did learn some great stuff. This book is well worth the small ...

Everyone should read these...
The "For _____ Only" Series are awesome. The authors got everything right, and really speak to each side of the communication gap. Its amazing what people assume others understand, especially the ones their closest to. A great read... thanks

Im a daughter of the King..
This book has been so meaningful to me--daily readings that describe Gods love for me--like He's talking 'to' me...with a verse that leads the day.. Reading this book has been helpful for me--helping me to understand who I am in Christ...helpful for knowing my identity and my inheritance into His family... I bought a copy and gave it to my best friend for her birthday--she's loving it and ...

Baby Wise-Extremely Successful for my and my kids
I don't understand all the negative hype. I have 3 kids and used Baby Wise with all 3. All gained weight successfully, have thrived, and are excellent sleepers in their own beds without fussing. No where in the book does it say neglect your kids or don't feed them. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I used my best judgement with the 3. If I felt they were hungry, but off ...

My favorite dating "Go-To"
I recommend this book to all my friends who are in relationships or are single but are wanting to look at how inter-gender relations ought to be carried out, biblically. My boyfriend and I read it and it has been a great "yellow line" (reference to an analogy Harris gives) for us.

A book every minister should read
I have been amiss in not writing a review of this book. It is a great little book on effective ministry. His ideas of seeking the win are great. Everyone wants to be on the winning team, and churches need to define what a win is. Also, his stuff on reviewing ministry is important. So many congregations do the work every year, but some of the programs are dead, but no one will stop them. His ...

C. J. Mahaney

With an open heart, this book will open your eyes!
Short, consise, well-versed, advice on living a life of humility, not as the world sees it (weakness, shyness), but as seen through the eyes of God. True greatness is achieved through true humility. And C.J. Mahaney systematically lays out a blueprint for God's plan for our life. God's plan; not our plan. This is the key to understanding true humility; understanding that we must be servants, ...

A great read for future business and community leaders
I enjoy Andy's writing style and he has done a great job on Visioneering. By adding a practical blueprint for creating your personal vision, Andy also lays out a path for creating a business vision. His views on lining up your business vision with your personal vision makes a lot of sense. As an entrepreneur who is now mentoring several business leaders and speaking around the world, I ...

Scarey?
Don't let the title scare you away. Joshua Harris knows how to bridge the generations of both teens & adult singles. What maturity for a young man! I am a pastor of adult children who has journeyed through this well-written book with both an 18-year old and a 20-year old young man in the past 3 months. God has given this young author the heart of a father. Joshua's desire is to protect both ...

Culture shift
Albert Mohler does a great job with this book. The first time I listened to this book, I had a defective copy and was not able to listen to the first cd. The book was replaced and I then listened to the first cd. I liked the content of the first cd very much, I thought the first cd was better than the rest. Mohler brings out some really excellent points. Our culture is changing and we must ...
