The Best Guide Available
This Reef Coral Identification book is THE definitive guide. In brief there is not a better guide out there. It thoroughly covers each type of coral and gives identification information as well as full color photographs. In addition to all the corals it covers other plant life likely to be encountered while snorkeling or diving. These include grasses, weeds, algae and coral diseases. With a ...

This is the book we used
I just returned from a week in the Galapagos islands, snorkeling almost every day. Several members of our guided group had various wildlife books, but our guide had this one and for fish it was all we needed and almost all we used. The pictures -- usually three to a page with accompanying text opposite -- are excellent for identification purposes, often showing variants. The notes include ...

Educating Divers of all Ages
For all those new divers (less than 10 years of activity) this book will really open their eyes to how sport diving, exploring and sharing the underwater world via images came about. Plus diving as a work activity and Bev Morgan's contribution helping commercial divers push the limits of that arena. If you started diving way back in 1969 like I did, the stories and interviews with names you ...

Inspiring
This book is pure inspiration. You realize how selfish the world is after reading this humble book. Mother Teresa is often in my thoughts now. And for that reason, this book is priceless.

This Book is a Family Favorite
Since we spend a lot of time in the Indian River Lagoon, this book has become our go to as soon as we get home from a day's boat trip. The pictures depict each creature accurately and the written descriptions clear up any questions about variances in color, shape, etc. The format is clear and concise as is the table of contents. There aren't many resources on creatures of this area so it's ...

Florida / Caribbean / Bahamas
A great book to bring along on a dive. It's spiral bound and about 250 pages of pictures, descriptions and everything you ever wanted to know. Eliminates the "Did you see that?" "Yeah, what was it?" "A Ray of somesort" "Yeah, but what kind, I've never seen one like that"

Great Book!
As a freediver along the coast north and south from San Francisco, I frequently refer to this book for reference of the fish I find in the kelp beds. I am able to find every fish I saw in the water in this book. The color photos are great for that purpose. Other books in my collection are sometime visually vague due to the lack of photographic images (paintings and/or black & white ...

Excellent Guide to the Florida Springs.
The book gives the location to several of Florida's hidden springs and offshore reefs, wrecks. There is also a dvd on the Florida springs available from amazon, called "Florida Springs-The Unexplored Florida." It lets you see the springs underwater. A must have book.

2006 Official Directory of the Archdiocese of Chicago
New World Publications, 2006
The Archdiocese of Chicago 2006 Directory is a Catholic consumer's best reference book, offering information on how to locate a baptismal record from a long-shuttered parish, to finding where your favorite religious sister is today, to making sure you have directions to that parish you want to visit next Sunday, and a whole lot more. The volume lists all the Catholic institutions, parishes, schools, agencies and recognized Catholic ...

Do nudibranchs behave?
Emphatically YES and this is, by far, the best nudibranch book ever published. Almost all previous nudibranch books focus on identification rather than behavior. This book combines stunning photography (most by Constantinos Petrinos)with fascinating text by Dave Behrens on all forms of nudibranch behavior, most of it previously undescribed. This is a classic book and any marine life enthusiast ...

Excellent annotation of great guides!
Snorkeling Guide to Marine Life is a very handy truncation of three heavy, bulky, but excellent references. There are extraordinary photographs of fish, creatures, and coral taken by noticeable experts. The fish species covered are stunning, and carefully chosen for quality. The others are also amazing and excilirating. A favorite fish species of mine, the Trumpetfish, is included here, shown in ...

Good, but a layman's book
This book, like all publications from these guys, is a fairly comprehensive field guide for marine species in the region, including some notes about behaviors and ranges of habitation. However, I continue to struggle with its non-scientific arrangement, where species are lumped together according to their morphology (i.e., "large bodies with fat lips"). It may be an easy way for the novice to ...
