When they don't understand English
This is a must book for anyone who has to teach a content area to students who are learning English, whose home language is other than English. It provides an excellent instrument for self-evaluation, if one is the content-area teacher. I highly recommend it to all teachers who have English language learners in their classrooms. Nowadays, that is almost ALL teachers, K-16.

Social Studies!
Great textbook guys! I like this one because it gives the reader exciting ways to teach Social Studies. The book shows the reader how to make Social Studies interesting and not cause students to become bored with the subject. This book will also help me in my future classroom!:) The last thing I would want is for a student to become bored with any subject.

Great Book!
I really think this book has a lot to offer for elementary edu. students. It gives a variety of ways to teach kids math. I used some of the techniques on my own kids and they were surprised to see some great alternative ways to learn how to do math problems differently. Definitely a book I will keep to use in the future!
Comprehensive Classroom Management: Creating Communities of Support and Solving Problems

Truly comprehensive, informative, and well-researched!
I felt I should write this review after seeing the bad wrap it got from another reviewer. I am doing my thesis on classroom discipline and out of all the books I've read on the subject, this one gave me the best insight and critique of the history of discipline research as well as great ideas for teachers on how to go about creating their own classroom management plan. This book touched on all ...

Creating Young Writers: Essential to ALL Primary Teachers
As a consultant in over 15 schools, this book is a permanent fixture in my briefcase. I take it with me when visiting all primary teachers for good reason: it is integral to improving writing for young students. I've read mostly all of Vicki Spandel's work, and this one is yet another gem. It provides a cornucopia of essential information about the six traits of writing - student samples with ...

Kimmel and Messner: a critique of gender
While some reviewers seem to state that Kimmel and Messner are painting men in a particularly bad light, these reviews seem to miss the key points that the authors are trying to make: the problem is masculinity and the way men perform masculinity, not males themselves. Kimmel and Messner critique gender and all the stereotypes surrounding it to present a manual for understanding masculinity as a ...

Great
This book was accuratly represented, the seller was ontop of things as far as communication and sending of the book. The book itself.. ah, well written, interesting material. I just had to buy it for a class.. Not in my subject area. So, for what it's worth. It's a good book! Just something i would have never bought if i didn't have to.

Very nice
The book is very informative. It has cheatsheets printed on the back cover. There is also information to help you with your first speech because the author realized that speeches would be prepared before the student could finish reading the book.

Mastering Public Speaking: Fifth Edition

Could Afford More Brevity
This book is abundant in theory, and offers many resources to help those that are learning about Public Speaking, although the pinnacle of this book is theory rather than helping with the action of speaking. The primary flaw that I saw with this text is that it's bloated. While the detail and wording may be useful for those going through the book on their own, this book was supposedly made for ...
