Reindeer Christmas (Paula Wiseman Books)1 review
Mark K Moulton

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2008

Reindeer Christmas
Another true classic from Mark Moulton with a wonderful storyline, lyrical narrative and incredibly beautiful artwork by Karen Good. Scarecrow Pete was my first introduction to these books and this, plus The Secret Santa of Olde Stonington, will complete all the Moulton books I have purchased for a collection for my grandchildren.

Game Day (Paula Wiseman Books)6 reviews
Tiki Barber, Ronde Barber

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2005

Highly Recommended - They did it again!
I ran out and bought this book for my 7 year old son after getting their first book- By My Brother's Side. This book is equally engaging and oh so sweet as it deals with the theme of teamwork. Young Ronde feels overlooked as the defensive powerhouse who enables Tiki to go for long runs and make all the touchdowns. Ronde finally gets a chance to be in the spotlight with the help of his ...

Go Long! (Kickoff)1 review
Ronde Barber, Tiki Barber

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2008

Courtesy of Teens Read Too
GO LONG! is a football story starring Tiki and Ronde Barber as young, up-and-coming players. This fast-paced, inspirational sports tale is sure to be popular with the middle grade crowd. Tiki and Ronde draw on their early years in the sport to encourage young people to use their talents and play the game with a sense of fair play and teamwork. The story begins as Tiki and Ronde start their ...

Dog44 reviews
Matthew Van Fleet

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2007

His favorite book
This is my son's favorite book. I actually bought this for him before he was born as we have three dogs and the book was appealing to me. He is now 14 months old and he pulls this from his book collection and brings it over to me, says "Da-doo!", sits in my lap and starts turning the pages himself. His favorites parts to touch are the English Sheepdog and the Basset with the sticky tongue. ...

A Is for Art: An Abstract Alphabet29 reviews
Stephen T. Johnson

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2008

A most unusual A-B-C book
My son just turned 3, and he's addicted to the alphabet. He has a number of ABC books -- his favorites are Firefighters A to Z and Dr. Seuss's ABC: An Amazing Alphabet Book! -- and I'm always looking for more to encourage his love of language. When I first got this book, I found it very appealing. Clearly an immense amount of thought and care went into creating these original images, and each ...

Alphabet (Paula Wiseman Books)10 reviews
Matthew Van Fleet

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2008

Awesome book - Matthew Van Fleet has done it again!
My 2.5 yr old loves all the Matthew Van Fleet book (Tails, One Yellow Lion, Yellow Spotted Frogs), so I was very excited to see another new book of his. This one is really great... very cleverly made. Teaches about alphabet, animals, colors, textures and so on. I would recommend it to one and all.

Teammates (Paula Wiseman Books)5 reviews
Tiki Barber, Ronde Barber

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2006

A great little read :-)
I reviewed Game Day earlier in the year after buying it for my nephew and both he and I (yes I admit it) loved it. Full of great pictures and a nice message, this is similar to Game Day in that respect. Both Tiki and Ronde have written this together (it's also going to be their last book in this series). It's about learning how to be a team, which these days (after seeing kids and parents ...

Double Pink10 reviews
Kate Feiffer

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2005

A regular favorite even after a year
We've had this book for about a year now and it is still in regular rotation when we have story time. It can be a little monotonous after a while but we have found that by changing the words from Double Pink to Double Purple or Orange or whatever catches the attention of my daughter and us as parents since we have to think of how to make it different. My daughter always giggles when she catches ...

Ghost Ship (Paula Wiseman Books)10 reviews
Mary Higgins Clark

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2007

Another hit for Mary Higgins Clark!
Mary Higgins Clark is a wonderful storyteller and it is very evident with this children's book. Being an avid fan, I purchased the book to pass on to my granddaughter when she gets a little older. The illustrations are beautiful too. It will be a pleasure to introduce my granddaughter to Mary Higgins Clark, through her children's books!!

MY ALL TIME FAVORITE AMELIA BOOK!
This is my all time favorite Amelia book. I especially like her doodles of cafeteria food in her new school and her dumb sister Chloe and her nice friend, Nadia. This is the best book. I've read it again and again. I recommend it to anyone who likes to laugh. Some other diarys which are good are THE DIARY OF A SLAVE GIRL, RUBY JO, THE DIARY OF PATIENCE WHIPPLE, and one boy diary called THE ...

Amelia's 5th-Grade Notebook (Amelia)1 review

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2006

One of my favorite Amelia books!
"Amelia's Best Year Ever" is a collection of stories from every season. Some stories you will recognize from other Amelia books, others from when her stories used to be in the American Girl magazine, others are new to the reader. No matter where the story is from, readers of all ages will enjoy Amelia's stories, and will definatly be able to relate to Amelia through the whole book.

Mighty Jackie: The Strike-Out Queen6 reviews
Marissa Moss

Simon & Schuster/Paula Wiseman Books, 2004

The Girl with the Dreams
Jackie Mitchell set high goals and dreams to become a professional major-league baseball player. Even though there were the stereotypes about girls not playing baseball, she didn't let that hinder her determination in becoming her very best. Through hard-work and lots of training, she became a major league pitcher. On April 2, 1932 she carved her name into history by becoming known as the ...
