The best mahjong book ever!
So you want to learn how to play mahjong? This book explains step-by-step how to play so you can play without having to rely on someone else teaching you. Has an index of special hands in the back too. Our small group has been playing mahjong for several years now and this is the one book we always refer back to! The only book you will probably ever need to start and keep playing mahjong.

Strongly disagree with the 1st two reviewers
[...] I have skimmed this book. It is NOT sophisticated or advanced. It is, however, an easy yet comprehensive read. It presents basic concepts, facts and helps. If you've read other, similar or more advanced books, then it is undoubtedly covering old ground and is not for you. But if you are looking for basic guidance then this book is an excellent beginning source and guide.

Phenomenal and excruciatingly beautiful
"This is a phenomenal book," my friend Kay said as she loaned it to me. "Oh, good," I said. "What's it about?" "Well, it's about a woman with early onset Alzheimer's." She paused, knowing how unappealing that must have sounded. "I promise you, it's worth reading." If ANYONE else but this particular friend had said that, I would have passed on it, imagining that they just liked tear-jerkers ...

Toney Fitzgerald

It takes genius to see the obvious.
To quote from the book: "But I have read all the books in the bookshop, gone to all the seminars on the circuit...and yet stayed at the starting line. I didn't move off that line until I took a principle, learned it, and applied it in my life unconditionally." That fundamental principle is set out and, if followed, leaves no choice: the only way is up. For me, this book has resulted in a ...

For everyone from beginners to professionals.
I bought this book as a raw beginner (along with a lot of other books) a few years ago. I am now a professional, still learning of course, who travels internationally thanks to tarot, and this book comes with me EVERYWHERE. What further recommendation can I give? This book helps me with everything from deep spiritual interpretation, to those people who just want a bit of "fun" - and there is ...

Very good reference, especially for nutrient information
A fine nutrient reference for specific plants and systems. Not real big on systems "techie" info, but it covers all the major types. I rate it a 'must have' for beginner or advanced grower.
