Great Reference Book
If you need a quick, comprehensive marine fish reference book this is the one to get. It is small enough to bring with you to the fish store and get a quick rundown on behaviors, ease of keeping, etc. If you ask the fish store about a fish, they are probably looking in this book for the answer.

Full of information and easy to understand!
A very easy to understand book for the beginner written in plain english. Plenty of highlighted boxes and tables to explain key points. The book gives you information on each obstacle as well as how events are run and what to do if you want to enter an event. There is also a chapter on etiquette that a lot more people need to read!

Buy this book!
I purchased this book and another entitled "Getting Started: Clicker Training for Cats". The latter is absolutely useless! It is filled with antedotes and very little to almost no instruction. What a waste. "10 mintues" is the only book you need to clicker train your feline. My very energetic kitten has responded almost instantly to clicker training. It gives her something to do and think about, ...

An accomplished hobbyist shares his methods
Let's face it; the subject of this book has the "Uggh!" factor. Raising worms and plankton and shrimp to feed to your fish does not appeal to everyone. But if you have ever had blackworms in your refrigerator or brine-shrimp in your freezer, you need this book in your library. This book tells how certain old-school aquarium keepers had success raising difficult-to-breed fish using live foods, ...

Easy and Helpful
We bought & read this book in anticipation of our new puppy - the book was insightful, helpful, and extremely fast and easy reading. The information worked wonders. Excellent training manual!!!
I thought this book was an excellent training manual for my 2 yorkies. Gives you insight into the dogs' perceptions of the world, and offers great advice on training your little dogs. When I trained my first yorkie, I tabbed certain "tricks" and wrote an index in the back to give me a quick reference point.... Came in very handy when training my second yorkie. I liked this book so much I ...

Wonderful book if you're trying your hand at dog grooming. I've saved a lot of money in groomer's charges by learning to upkeep my own pets from this book. Easy to read and understand and is a "keeper" if you want to venture out on your own in dog grooming.

Review of "Health and Feeding Handbook"
I have been a tank keeper for twenty years and have read every book written on the subject. This new book by Bob Goeman's is by far the the most comprehensive, up to date, accurate, well written, and organized book to have been published in several years. The chapters on feeding and maintaing the health of the corals and fish are outstanding but there is so much other information in the book ...

Best book for choosing a breed for your family
This book has really great information about the many different breeds of chicken and answers many questions, such as: -Which breeds are gentle and docile/best for children? -Which breeds are aggressive or avoid humans? -Which are noisy or quiet? -Best or poor layers? -Difficult to breed? -Have special husbandry requirements (fencing, footing, housing, etc.)? This is a great ...

EXCELLENT EVEN FOR THE NOVICE - Highly Recommended!
I give this book 5 stars although I have found no book with a much needed "fact chart". I find myself going back through sections over and over again, trying to find out when they hear, etc. I have created my own notes and fact sheet for next time. Having known absolutely nothing, this book is GREAT and I highly recommend it. I always read the negative reviews on books first...I must say I did ...

Not for Little Dogs Only
This book is a fountain of fun things to do with your small dog, but the activities can be arranged for larger dogs also. With small dogs, these can be done indoors; some of them would probably work better outside for larger breeds. Besides fun activities, there's a wealth of information on traveling, shopping, dining and other outside-the-house things to do. It's a great book to have on ...

My favorite fish care book
This book is an outstanding and easy to read resource for anyone who is interested in setting up an aquarium. I read it cover to cover. I often refer to it as "my fish Bible"! I have lent this book to friends who were troubleshooting common aquarium problems, and they too have found it to be extremely useful. The goal of the book is to give you a wealth of information BEFORE you buy your tank ...
