Best investment I ever made
Anyone in the field of Audiology knows this book as The Bible. I bought it four years ago and I use it as a reference book constantly. Do yourself a favor and bind this book because it will get worn! It is a comprehensive guide to hearing aids and it explains most terms in a simple and understandable manner. Some concepts will not seem simple right away, but read explanations from anyone else, ...

The best anatomy and pathology book for CT I've ever seen.
There is no better book on the market for cross sectional anatomy. The book uses normal anatomy vs. pathology examples for every body part and major condition that would be visualized with CT imaging. Easy to read, high quality pictures are taken from real Siemens images and put alongside illustrations that label the anatomy. This book also gives outstanding guidelines for interpreting ...

Differential Diagnosis in Internal Medicine: From Symptom to Diagnosis
It is concise and to the point. But I am trying to look for "out-dated" stuff in this text as the original German edition was published in 05.

an excellent companion for biomedical sudents
As a Ph.D student in biochemistry, I found this book to be a very useful and comprehensive review. Also, I found it to be an excellent source for people who prefer reading diagrams and figures over long and boring texts. Over all, I recommend it for any one involved in biomedical studies or research. Other excellent books from the same publisher include color atlas of biochemistry and color ...

Best Anatomy Atlas for Musculoskeletal!!
Thieme is awesome. I am a chiropractic student and my anatomy teacher recommended this atlas. It is beautifully illustrated and very clearly shows the layers of muscle. Bones are shown in different planes. Nerve paths, dermatomes, biomechanics, even bursae are depicted. A great reference!!

Essential Radiology: Clinical Presentation, Pathophysiology, Imaging

Beginner level
This book is aimed at medical students just starting out in a basic radiology course. I was looking for a book for use by a primary care physician, out in practice, for help in sharpening skills a bit in order to better read some of those films that may be more difficult for the primary care physician. Not really enough radiographs, lots of text--fine if that is what you are looking for.

The bible of Neurosurgery
I was told this book was the "bible" of Neurosurgery. I agree completely. It has almost everything you need for the day-to-day work. It lacks some explanations and details, but given its size I think it's acceptable. A great book.

Medical Student
Great book to accompany study of pathophys. Although not complete, its atlas format with charts, pictures and diagrams is great for recall of pathophys of disease and clinical manifestations. Taking notes on it while studying completes most of what you need. Great for the wards.

One of the most helpful books for a junior radiology resident
The challenges that a person faces as a junior radiology resident can be intimidating. This book will be beneficial to a budding sonographer earlier in the educational process, also. Ultrasound is a skill that has a high learning curve but this book truly levels the playing field. Organized by Organs and vascular structures, this book is an essential book in your library. Transducer ...

Atlas of Neurosurgical Techniques: Brain

Excellent neurosurgical atlas
I am a neurosurgery resident and I have found that this atlas is superb. When deciding which atlas to buy, there are many factors to take into consideration (price, readability, breadth, depth, etc...). I believe that this book (and it's spine counterpart) really surpass Schmidek's book and Kempe's book in that regard. The pictures of key aspects of the operation are bountiful and in color. The ...

This book is amazing!
I teach Pharmacology and I've never seen figures so fit to explain/understand the basic principles of this subject. Do pictures really say more than a thousand words? With regard to this book, the answer is YES.

Precise pocket companion
The pocket atlas provides a precise review and labelling on the anatomy of head and neck region. The book is quite small and can really be put into the pocket. However, the color used for illustration is quite confusing. It is difficult for one to distingusih among their color label in the atlas. In addition, the quality of the radiological imaging is not as good as the image that you would ...

Can't live without it.
This and it's companion book on Pathophysiology are the best investments I have made since entering medical school. The illustrations are great (and the diagrams set a standard that neither Guyton or Boron and Boulep can match) , but it's Silbernagl's presentation that makes them so amazing. I'm constantly finding new layers of information that I missed even after 4 or 5 passes. Buy Boron for ...
