Wow
I really did not like the Inheritance Trilogy at all. I found it cliched and badly written. That aside, I read parts of this guide through Amazon, and I find it to be well written and informative. Although I have not read the entire thing, I feel justified in writing a five star review to counteract those who have given it one star. Listen people: just because you're too ignorant to actually read ...

Wow! I don't even bake but this book has made me a baker for life
I picked up this book for its whimsical cover. I am guilty of judging a cookbook by its cover! OK who doesn't? I was sold in the first pages. This book gives you baking tips, vegan equivalents to many things, a tutorial on how to use the book, etc. She doesn't just throw you to the sharks! Her thorough explanations make it super easy for the non-baking gal like me and for even kids to use! See ...

Shedding "Light" on Masonic Myths in the Nation's Capitol
This title sheds a great deal of light on the Masonic myths surrounding our nation's capitol. With an easy-to-read style and a factual storehouse of Masonic information, Hodapp delivers another insightful book for 21st century readers. He is anticipating the release by Dan Brown of "The DaVinci Code" sequel, which is to focus on Freemasonry and the beginnings of Washington D.C. Before any ...

Japanese for real people.
While the book does have some actual dirty Japanese, for the most part, it is a practical phrase-book that reveals Japanese as a rather easy to speak language. It is a short and fun introduction to Japanese. A great first book on the subject.

This is the Book !!
I loved it! I am fairly fluent in Spanish, having lived in Mexico and gotten a Bachelor's Degree in the language, but neither my friends nor my teachers along the way wanted to "corrupt" me with slang or obscenities. So I always felt there was a gap in my learning, which this little book fills in nicely. Its contents run the gamut from the simply informal to cool slang, funny insults, ...

Wonderful.
In the beginning, the authors state that the contents of the book are their opinions; and they actually tell you that if you disagree, then you are welcome to argue your point with them on their website: [...] It'd great. :)

Like Very Few Books, I didn't Want It To End
Books I review almost never get a five-star, No book is perfect, but I reserve the 5-star for books I don't want to end. This 385-page novel follows the rather ungainly titled book "How to Survive the End of the World as We Know It: Tactics, Techniques, and Technologies for Uncertain Times". The story surrounds a group of friends who lived mostly in the Chicago area, who were convinced ...

Godless is well ... godless!
Now this is a revelation which should be mandatory reading for all those who believe in a god. I am very impressed and appreciative of having been able to read about Dan's life and courage. Simply an excellent book not to be missed - especially by those who have doubts and want to see the other side of the story.
Vampire Darcy's Desire: A Pride and Prejudice Adaptation

Excellent Paranormal Retelling
I was not sure I would want to read this book after reading the disaster known as Mr. Darcy, Vamprye, but I always thought there were several Austen characters who would make good "antagonists" in a paranormal book - Wickham, Willoughby, John Thorpe, Capt. Tilney, etc. What I liked about this one is the way the author keeps the story tied together with the Scottish ballad, making it the basis of ...

No more excuses
I first came to know of the author, Steve Speirs, independent of his book, and the first thing that should be said above all else, is that Steve has dedicated his life to helping others enjoy the fitness and health that he himself enjoys. I myself and a swimmer/cyclist/runner/triathlete/singer/website creator/podcast host, and in keeping up with these activities on top of living as normal a ...

Fun & Enjoyable
This was the third completion to Jane Austen's Sanditon that I've read. It was not my favorite, but it's not preachy or x-rated, like some J.A. sequels can be. It kept my interest and I enjoyed it. I do recommend it. Note: my favorite is "Sanditon - by J.A. and Another Lady"

Practical, useful, step-by-step help! LOVED it!
I LOVED this book, read it cover to cover so quick, and marked it all up real good. It is a manual I will keep in my kitchen. I have been drinking green smoothies for 10 months and had already read about them in other books. But THIS BOOK, has helped me take it to the next level. It has already improved them for me and my family. I love the way Robyn Openshaw teaches about making green ...

So far so good
I had 2 excruciating gallbladder attacks in a 4 day span. The Doctor told me the bad news about needing to get my gallbladder removed. I thought no big deal until I found out how it could affect me. So after some research for surgery alternatives I found all these different versions of cleanses which eventually led me to this book. I thought what do I have to lose, it either works or it ...

Inspiring Read
I found this to be an inspiring read. This well written book has many inspiring stories from the perspective of 2 Reiki Practitioners. As a Reiki Practitioner, who practices mainly on humans, I found the stories and advice well written. Elizabeth's explanations on how time seems to "fly" by, while giving animals Reiki, resonated with me as I find this happens quite often while giving Reiki ...

If you crave something you don't want to eat...."Eat this", says Kelly
Kelly has thought of absolutely everything!!! It's all spelled out in the "If you crave that, eat this section." I have had medical issues, a compromised immune system, etc. and Kelly's recipes have been a lifesaver... literally! Sugar in particular causes me awful heartburn, exhaustion, bone and joint aches, etc. Now that I have the opportunity to eat so many outrageously delicious foods I ...
