That's Not My Train (Usborne Touchy Feely)13 reviews
Fiona Watt, Rachel Wells

Usborne Books, 2000

One of my daughter's favourite
My daughter is eight month old and she loves touching the squashy wheels, the bumpy side of the train and the rough roof. The glossy engine on the last page does nothing for her but overall, it is probably her favourite book of the collection.

That's Not My Lion (Usborne Touchy-Feely Books)13 reviews
Fiona Watt

Usborne Books, 2010

That's Not My Lion
This is a great board book and touchy feely book for age 8 to 9 months and up. I would even buy it for as young as 3 months old. It's sturdy, durable, colorful, beautifully illustrated. This book has won the Parent's Guide Award. They learn about the different textures and love looking at the pictures. A plus to this book is that there is a mouse hidden in the pages that they can look for. It ...

That's Not My Dragon (Usborne Touchy Feely)20 reviews
Fiona Watt

Usborne Books, 2006

My daughter LOVES this book
My mother got this book for my daughter when she was just a few weeks old. We started reading to my daughter when she was 3 days old, and my mom thought she might like a tactile book. She was right - my daughter LOVED it the first time we read it and I would guide her fingers over the different fabrics. She's almost 14 months old, and was just as interested today as she was when we first got ...

Ray Gisson, Amanda Barlow

Usborne Books, 1995

My 5-year-old LOVES this book!
My daughter received this book (along with I Can Draw Animals also excellent!) for Christmas (which was 2 days before her 5th birthday) and she LOVES it! Very easy directions she can follow all by herself and something she uses over and over again! Great book for little artists!

My eight month old daughter enjoys reading this book even on her own. She likes it as much as the dragon and the train books.

That's Not My Puppy: Its Coat Is Too Hairy (Usborne Touchy Feely)42 reviews
Fiona Watt

Usborne Books, 2001

Great book! Great series! A must have for any parent!
My 1 year old loves these books! This one is his FAVORITE. He flips through the pages himself, carries it around with him, and will grab it every time we sit down to read. I don't normally leave a 5 star review, but I figured it is fitting in this case. I just bought 3 more of these books in this series.

That's Not My Teddy (Usborne Touchy Feely)16 reviews
Fiona Watt

Usborne Books, 1999

We both give it a big thumb's up!
This is another one of Usborne Book's Touchy-Feely books - board books with little texture pieces that young one's can touch. In this book, a cute little mouse is looking for his teddy bear, but is having trouble finding it. It's a very cute book, one that was just right for you kindergartener who is learning how to read. She liked the story and the pieces that she could actually touch. We ...

Usborne Sparkly Touchy-feely Fairies (Usborne Sparkly Touchy Feely)13 reviews
Fiona Watt

Usborne Books, 2005

Love it!
I bought this for my daughter when she was 8 months old and she's still reading it at 2 1/2 years. The book is well made, sturdy, educational and oh so cute! It grows with your child (although I also believe that it is up to the parent to keep a child interested in any book). As a baby, she loved the textures and the colors. As she grew a little older, the textures and colors still called to her ...

That's Not My Bunny: Its Tail Is Too Fluffy (Usborne Touchy Feely)11 reviews
Fiona Watt

Usborne Books, 2005

Great addition to the "that's not my..." collection!
These books are great for a range of ages! For the pre-verbal it keeps their interest with the large pictures and of course the touch & feel on each page. For the older kiddos the describing words such as "fuzzy, silky, squashy, etc." enriches their vocab so wonderfully. Also because the story is so simple, toddlers can recall what the next page is about before you turn to it! Love this whole ...

Frog on a Log (Phonics Board Books)8 reviews
Phil Roxbee Cox

Usborne Books, 2002

funny book
My 5-year-old boy enjoys this story. He laughs at the frog falling off the log. It is a good book for him to practice sounding out words.

Rosie Dickins

great classroom resource
I ordered this book because others had rated it so highly and am so glad I did. There are nice brief bios of each artist or art style. First Thousand Words in German: With Internet-Linked Pronunciation Guide (German Edition)9 reviews
Heather Amery

Usborne Books, 2004

Fantastic vocab for any age!
I absolutely love this book! The pictures are great as well as the pronunciation guide in the back. Definitely a must-have for anyone trying to teach multiple languages. My 2.5 year old absolutely loves this book. The other fabulous plus to buying this book is the ONLINE pronunciation guide! If you go to their website, you can listen to / download little sound clips with perfect ...

See Inside Your Body12 reviews
Katie Daynes~Colin King

Usborne Books, 2006

fantastic resource
I scoured the local library for a good beginner book on anatomy to introduce my 3 year old to how her body works. I wanted accuracy and great pictures. It is a great library, but the options just weren't there. The available books were either too simple or too wordy, and none of them had stellar illustrations. This book by Usborne is amazing! I think I have even learned a thing or two, and my 3 ...

On the Moon12 reviews
Anna Milbourne

Usborne Books, 2004

Moon Book....Fit for a Toddler or Two
With all the discussion about this being the 40th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing and the synchronicity of our present space shuttle "on the moon", remembering by re-enacting the walk on the moon, it's fitting to find a toddler's book to read. In it's simplistic language, and primary script, the story of the first landing on the moon is portrayed to a young child in a way that is ...

Flip Flap Body Book (Flip Flaps)8 reviews
Alastair Smith, Judy Tatchell

Usborne Books, 2004

Fantastic, Fun, Informative
My 5 year-old LOVED this book. She learned so much from it and couldn't wait to open the flaps. I was a little thrown by the human reproduction part. I wasn't quite ready to introduce that much detail to my 5 yo but it can be done appropriately using this book.
