Suffer in Silence36 reviews
David Reid

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2004

A fast-paced tale of life as a SEAL recruit
Look no further for a lively account of the staggering process of becoming a Navy SEAL. Written like a first-person memoir, this book's description of BUD/S training is as unforgiving as the icy Pacific Ocean where the exhausted recruits spend much of their time. (The author participated in SEAL training himself, a personal history that provides necessary authenticity to descriptions of the ...

Smashed, Squashed, Splattered, Chewed, Chunked and Spewed42 reviews
Lance Carbuncle

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2007

a smashing good read
This book is absoulutly hillarious and a must read, that's really all you need to know. It's addictive from cover to cover, and I doubt you would find anyone that does not get a laugh out of this book. (unless they are just stuffy as hell). The characters are great and the adventures even better. I look forward to following Lance Carbuncle's works on into the future.

The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible12 reviews
Jeff A. Benner

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2005

Great Study Resource
Jeff Benner's book is a valuable tool in studying the essence of Hebrew parent/ child root words and how they work. The illustrations bring the concepts of the words to life. Some of his aleph-bet definitions are considerably different from Frank Seekins' definitions in his book, "Hebrew Word Pictures", but that actually helps to refine some of the pictographic explanations. I would've liked ...

The Ancient Hebrew Language and Alphabet: Understanding the Ancient Hebrew Language of the Bible Based on ...9 reviews

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2004

If you want to understand Hebrew READ THIS
This book is a wonderful introduction to the world of the Hebrew Language. I have been struggling to teach myself Hebrew, and frankly was having trouble learning the aleph-beit. So many letters that look similar! Such a different type of writing! And why do they have three letters than mean "s", more than one "K" and two that don't have any sound, anyway? THIS BOOK ANSWERS THOSE QUESTIONS, ...

TwiLite: A Parody20 reviews
Stephen Jenner

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2009

I was laughing so hard...
I'm an avid fan of the Twilight series and I found this book hilarious. Sure, it takes quite a few hits at the book, so you have to have a sense of humor, but it really is worth the buy! Recommended for both Twilight fans and Twilight haters.

The Road Gets Better From Here11 reviews
Adrian Scott

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2008

The adventure travel book to read
This has been the most enjoyable "adventure travel" book I have read! I am a big fan of the genre and a long distance motorcycle traveler. I have found this book to be more enjoyable then any of the books written by experienced motorcyclists. This book seems to better capture the wonder of the wander. The author gives me a sense of the enjoyment of meeting people and learning of their culture ...

Americans' Survival Guide to Australia and Australian-American Dictionary10 reviews
Rusty Geller

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2007

Must Have Guide for Expats
We are moving to Australia from the U.S. and bought this book to help prepare. It's full of useful information- like how to use the phone, when to go shopping, etc. The dictionary is great! Even though they speak English there are ALOT of different words. This is a great book and I would highly recommend it to US expats planning to live in Australia.

Fantasy Football Guidebook10 reviews
Sam Hendricks

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2007

Probably the best fantasy football book yet written
I ordered this and his F.F. 2009 Almanac at the same time. The Almanac came first. That's about all that can said in its favour. So I was more than a little suprised at the quality of this book. It's comprehensive, well-organized, professionally laid out, reads very easily, and in multiple aspects has advice that is a level beyond the titles that will come up in the "People Who Bought This ...

Today's Homestead: Volume I11 reviews
Dona Grant

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2008

Awesome for beginners who are afraid of the idea of homesteading!
This book manages to take the idea of homesteading, simplify it, and package it in a way that makes sense, makes it accessible and doesn't overwhelm the reader. At the same time, it's full of information! My family is fairly techno-centric, so the first time my wife and I ate food that we had canned ourselves from our own garden using ideas and methods from these books, it was an amazing ...

Shooting the stickbow.
Wow Anthony really did a great job with this book. I gotta think that this will help alot of people just getting into the archery world, or those that have been there for awhile and are looking at answering some of their questions on form, aiming, etc. Great read.

Echoes of a Haunting - Revisited2 reviews
Clara M. Miller

Echoes Revisited
Since I wrote this book I don't think it's kosher that I review it. I just hope people "enjoy" it because it's all true. Thank you.

White Blaze Fever16 reviews
Bill Schuette

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2003

As AT books go...
this is one of my favorites. There are others with more flare, better reviews, and just causes. However, when I reach for my collection of AT books for a quick re-read, this one comes up more often than not. There are plenty of other reviews that give a synopsis of the content so I won't venture there. But if you are one of those readers who appreciate clean writing about the details of an AT ...

Today's Homestead Volume II3 reviews
Dona Grant

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2008

Great book for both the beginner and the experienced gardener.
I loved Today's Homestead Volume I, so I ordered Volume II hoping it would be equally as good as the first one. I wasn't disappointed! Volume II is so full of gardening information that it will serve as a great gardening reference for any homesteader or backyard gardener! In this book there are planting guidelines, pest control options, and even harvesting tips. Today's Homestead Volume II covers ...

His Name is One14 reviews
Jeff A. Benner

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2003

Truly, the Habraic meaning takes us deeper in God!
I would like to thank the author for this wonderful work which helped me better understand the covenant relationship and the name Shepherd along with other names. In particular I would highlight the meaning of the commendment "thou shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain",it is not just saying the name in vain, it is actually not representing His character in vain, since we are made ...

A wonderful must-have book to study with friends.

A Backpacker's Guide To Philmont2 reviews
Bill Sassani

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2008

Have we found the next Green Bar Bill?
A Backpacker's Guide to Philmont is highly recommended for any Scout or Advisor who is planning their trip to Philmont. It does a good job running down what to expect on your visit and what to bring whether its your first visit or a return visit. Bill worked at Philmont for 10 summers in both the Ranger and Backcountry departments. In addition to his own knowledge, Bill has had the book reviewed ...

A Mechanical Translation of the Book of Genesis: The Hebrew Text Literally Translated Word for Word6 reviews
Jeff A. Benner

Virtualbookworm.com Publishing, 2007

A tool with great potential for thematic study
I happened to be preparing a curriculum for a class when this book arrived. I found it to be immediately valuable to confirm to me that the 'spirit' hovering over the face of the deep in Genesis 1:2 was mechanically translated 'wind'. This will be an even greater tool if it is added to the translations available for search in the various e-programs.
