A call to live a life that changes your world
Extraordinary isn't one of those books that you read, nod your head to a few good ideas, and then forget about it the next day. This is a book that will literally change the way that you approach every single situation in your life no matter how big or how small. For years I had only thought of God's grace as the power of salvation and something that I only received once when I was saved. Now ...

Is your privacy protected?
We are living in an age of technology that surpasses our forefathers' deepest imaginations. With the push of a few buttons we can find someone's address and phone number. With the push of a few more buttons we can map out their residence. Just a few more buttons and we can learn more, and more, and more. Is this dangerous? Yes, I think it is. I also think we have come so far down the information ...

A Sweet Christmas Story
I always read a new book at Christmas. I choose something short and sweet and uplifting when I can find it. Cindy Woodsmall has become one of my favorite Amish storytellers. I read this in one afternoon while my husband was in surgery. Of course, there is a sadness in the story, it's Amish, but the power of Christmas and the healing power of the season triumph over the sadness, and I could just ...

She found a job, married and had a daughter. Now Cara and her daughter are on the run again. While reading her mother's journal Cara discovers an address. She and daughter, Lori go to the Amish country of ...

Eye opening book
I read the exhaustive review by a pastor on this book before I bought it. He didn't think it was a good resource do to the lack of scripture in it. I think it was worth the read and I gained insight from it. I also read it for a program called Champions Network. Anyway, reading the book sparked conversation with my co workers and I really enjoyed the message within. I believe it gave enough ...

Great book for little ones!
I loved this book. We purchased "God Gave Us You" when our oldest daughter was born. We now read it to our youngest daughter too. I love the simplicity of the book and that they are so easy for little ones to grasp. This book is definitely welcome additions to my childrens' library!

Questions about heaven from a child's perspective...
I used this book along with two others to help my 6 year old daughter understand her Gramp's death. While it reinforced all we have taught her, it helped having a book that delivered a gentle message about what heaven is like. Like the author's other books, the illustrations are wonderful and the message simple. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful story?
I started reading this book to my son when he was first born. He is three now and we still read it multiple nights a week. Now when we get to the page where the mom says every night she prayed for the baby my son says "you prayed for me right?" and when the baby bear says she loves God he says "I love God, do you mama?". These are such special memories. I read some of the negative reviews of ...

Perfect choice for a prayer group Book and Bible Study
with Prayer and listening for God's voice, our 5 woman strong prayer group chose this book to read for Advent. We've only started but are finding it just what we were looking for. Readers won't be able to resist.
WHEN THE MORNING COMES, book two in Cindy Woodsmall's Sisters of the Quilt series, picks up where WHEN THE HEART CRIES ended and offers the same intriguing blend of Amish-themed romance and misfortunes. This is not a stand-alone novel, so you'll want to read the series in order. A cast of characters included is helpful in picking up the storyline. In WHEN THE HEART CRIES, we met Hannah Lapp, ...

Amazing guide on staying sexually pure!
Imagine, sitting in the backseat of the car with the girl just met at the after-party of the Friday night football game, forgetting her name because one is too drunk to remember, and she is drunk enough to take advantage of. Going in to make a move and hesitate and think, "What's the right choice here? I've got a smoking hot babe that I can do whatever I want to, what's the harm? She won't even ...

Fantastic book!
This was such a wonderful book! I enjoyed every part of it and was happy to find that there was no romance in it. So many Christian authors today can't seem to get off of the romantic thread whether they're writing suspense, historical fiction, or fantasy. It drives me insane to see all of the "lovey stuff" that is put into everything. Dragonspell also moved along at a good pace. I will ...

Great book... for those already exposed to the worlds view of sex
One thing that I noticed as I read through this book is that it is quite graphic. In "telling it straight," the authors give descriptions of sexual acts and stories of masturbation and porn. Though these things are discussed negatively, I wondered if being introduced to these things for the first time would be a little too much for some people. I asked a fairly conservative high school girl I had ...

Bad Girls of the Bible
Our women's Bible study is really enjoying Bad Girls of the Bible! Liz Curtis Higgs really fleshes out the stories of those ancient bad girls but also parallels them with modern day tales of equallly bad girls. Highly recommend this book!
