Best $7.00 I've ever spent!
I bought this book in a local bookstore only because it was marked half off and I recognized the name... and I must say it was the best $7.00 I've ever spent. I started at the beginning and read all 3 books in just over 2 days. All three were great, but Sphere was my favorite. I love his writing style... his writing feels so real-life. I've since read most of his written works. For readers ...

Where are the children
I have to say that the book started out pretty slow, but it got more and more interesting as you read it. I have read several suspense books by this author, but I have to say that I believe that this is the best ever.

KMM are Great!
The Book arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It's three Kinsey Millhone Novels by Sue Grafton which insures exciting plots and surefire entertainment with a good readable character. I am an alphabet mystery fancier and was certainly not disappointed by this collection. Kinsey is always endearing and guttsy. They were excellent novels! Bravo, Sue Grafton! Purchasing the three story ...

Three Complete Novels - Dean R. Koontz - A New Collection (Shattered/Whispers/Watchers)

Dean Koontz
Wings, 1992
A good place to start
Watchers and Whispers are two of Dean Koontz's best. Shattered isn't quite as good, but it's still a good read that will only take you a day or two to finish. First of all, Watchers is a MUST read. I was skeptical that it could be *THAT* good, but it was. It's brilliant, unforgettable, and at times, a tear jerker. It's about a lonely, depressed man named Travis and a lonely, "homely" ...

John Kennedy Toole

One of the Best Books Ever Wrtten
I have read this book over the years 3 times. It is funny beyond belief. It does really help if you have been to New Orleans and seen the sights and heard the accents. This one will have you laughing out loud (unless you lack a sense of humor). It is too bad that that author commited suicide, John Kennedy Toole could have contributed so much more to society.

Three classic techno-thrillers in a bargain package
I bought this hardcover collection from the bargain section of my local bookstore a few years ago, mostly because I had been looking for a copy of The Great Train Robbery, but had not seen it available for sale separately. (I already owned a favorite, well-worn, read-many-times paperback of The Andromeda Strain from my teenage years, so I thought that getting that classic book in hardcover was an ...

Birth of the Modern Jewish State
This is my favorite Leon Uris, unless I just read Armageddon. The story of the birth of Israel is given while telling the story of Ari Ben Cannan, a Jewish soldier who once served in the British Army and an American nurse called Kitty Fremont who meets him while serving Jewish orphans from Europe after World War II. Uris provides a great background to modern Israel and how the Jews who ...

A classic
This book is a must for Civil War buffs, presenting lots of odd facts about the War Between the States which one would probably not come across except in bits and pieces in other works. I never get tired of looking through this one.

Three books in one-COOL!
It was so easy to read three in a row. I think I had the whole three books finished in three days! It's nice to have many books into one because then you don't have to buy the next one or wait to go to the library when it opens next, or even to see if the library has it! It was so nice!!!

Get it..it's great!!
I happened across this book in a used book store. I'm a fan of Sandra Brown, although I don't cut her any slack when I read one that isn't what I expected. Let's face it, we have to tell it like it really is. But all three of the stories in this one book happen to be some of Sandra's very best writing. Do yourself a favor and get it. I thought it was greeeaaatttttttt!!!!
Stephen King: Three Complete Novels: Carrie; Salems Lot; The Shining

Stephen King
Wings, 2002
Beautiful volume.
Three of King's best in a convinent attractive package. Editorial errors mentioned in a previous review are not applicable in the copy I just recieved from Amazon. The publisher must have made the corrections in later editions. So don't let that deter you. The novels sell for up to 3 times as much individually, so you can't beat the deal or the fun this one book offers. Have at it.

Three terrific books
Wow, Phantoms, Darkfall, and The Servants Of Twilight all in one! I've read 23 Dean Koontz book so far and I can tell you that these are all five star books. PHANTOMS is about a deserted town in the mountains where a woman and her teenage sister arrive to find most of the residents either missing or brutally murdered-even in locked rooms. DARKFALL is about a man named Baba Lavelle out ...

In one word, great.
I am going to make this simple. I read an old paperback copy of the original "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Having enjoyed reading the original, I found the "Ultimate" version in the discount section at Barnes and Noble. What a great buy for ten dollars. Not all may like the series. For those that do, I highly recommend all additional books to the original. You will not be let down, as ...

A MUST READ!!
If there are only 2 books that you buy that relate to Native American history, they should be Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and THIS account of the Trail of Tears. Two summers ago I decided to enter a t-shirt design for the Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride (which I won and I rode in). Before I could create a design for something so important, I decided that I should learn much more ...

Excellent Boost!
This book is an excellent comprehensive boost for anyone who wants to welcome change and new ways of seeing their world and the issues they may have in relationships, wealth, success and life in general. I haven't finished reading it yet - but have found that even just one page a night before bed does wonders in slowly opening us up to change and positive ways of thinking. It's difficult to do in ...
