Yummy!!! Easy to use!
The recipes we have tried so far are great! It works with our zoji wonderfully, and the recipes were easy to follow and came out very tasty. We specially like the mixed rice recipes. They type color was not an issue for me, though I have to use a cookbook holder to keep the book open most times. But, I love my cookbook holder and the acrylic face keeps this and my other books clean. At any rate, ...

Agatha Christie Rocks!
I can't say enough about how Agatha Christie is the queen of mystery writing. No matter if you are into the hard-core P.I.'s, the bumbling amateur detectives, the Police dramas or cold hard forensic stories, you still can't touch Agatha Christie for classic mysteries! This is such a joy to read---especially if you love Hercule Poirot! I loved this book.

Destined To Become A Classic
CLASSIC SOUTHERN DESSERTS is quite simply the best cookbook I have seen in a long time on Southern desserts-- perhaps the best ever-- and is destined to become a classic. Published by the editors of the magazine "Southern Living," it contains over 200 recipes that according to the writers were selected from more than 10,000 recipes over the past 40 years. And there are almost as many color ...

Series Keeps Getting Better
Fantastic. I adored this book. I think the series is getting better with each installment. I was on the edge of my seat reading about Della's investigation. She took some risks in this book that made it really exciting. Lovely ending as well with her personal life coming together nicely. I can't wait for the next in the series! Melinda Wells is now my favorite mystery author.

Love This Series
All the Hannah Swenson Mysteries are wonderful they are light hearted make you smile mysteries "cozy mysteries" (not scary, gory, or sad) but they are actually really good "keep you guessing" mysteries. I have read the first four and have now bought all Hannah books and anthologies for my Kindle, I just cannot put them down. Plus if you are someone who likes to bake you will love all the recipes ...

Great Recipes but Expensive Ingredients and SUGAR!
First of all, let me say the recipes in this book are wonderful, from traditional to unique, often integrating healthy ingredients I never would have thought to use. Typically, I would call this a good thing. However, sometimes the ingredients are difficult to come by (hemp seeds, carob, and quinoi flour-- for instance-- I would have to mail order), and no substitutions are given. The ...

Color pictures look best in color
This looks beautiful on my iphone. It's OK on my Kindle, but the color pictures really need to be looked at in color. This is the first time I've enjoyed reading a Kindle book more on the iphone than on the Kindle. I collected and read all of Beatrix Potter's books when I was a child but somehow managed to lose them in the ensuing decades. This brings me back to the time I learned to love ...

Hearthside Cooking combines History with a Love of Cooking
I love this book. The recipes are simple, easy to follow and delishious. But even better than that. I love the way she explains how cooking was done before the Revolutionary War, which I found facinating. She writes very well and the story is wonderful. Try the Corn Fritters for breakfast or the Corn Pudding for a light supper. For the Friar's Omelet, I made hommade applesauce for step one, ...

One of the best coffee table books I know of
This book is funny. I saw some of the cards on the author's website, and I had to buy the book. The comments on the recipes are especially witty. This little treasure is best enjoyed *after* a meal, lest it put a damper on appetites.

The Australian Lewis Carroll?
This book is part of the wonderful new series of republished children's books from the New York Review of Books. Over 80 years old, "The Magic Pudding" describes the adventures of a koala bear, named Bunyip Bluegum - the kind of koala who wears a high collar and spats - who falls in with a crazy cowboy sort of fellow named Bill Barnacle and a penguin named Sam Sawnoff. Bill and Sam are ...

Highly recommended for little kids going thru a divorce.
Ordered this book along w/3 others for my 5 & 3 yr old boys who are going thru a divorce between their mom & me. It is their favorite 1 out of the 4 - and it is nice that is places a primary emphasis on the role of the 2 boys with their father. However, mom is not negatively portrayed and gets a fairly equal amount of time in the story. It helps explain to the kids that the divorce is not ...

Fig Pudding by Ralph Fletcher
~ "Sometimes I feel more like a policeman then the eldest of six kids," says Cliff a boy who has four brothers and one sister and feels like he is the baby-sitter and can't do anything he wants to except make sure his siblings don't get in trouble. If they do he gets yelled at instead of them-that doesn't seem to fair to me! ~Cliff as you know has five siblings, all younger. Cliff is in ...

Best Aussie (or ANY) Dessert Recipe Book!
I am American, but having lived in Sydney for over six years & married an Australian, it was such bliss to have been given this book as a 'bon voyage' gift! I can now make Anzac biscuits, caramel slice & pavlova with confidence. It's great too that the measurements have been 'converted' to American standards. In any case, it is the one book that I always reference when having to make any type ...
