Really usefull and easy to understand and apply
I studied color theory in college, traditional (kinda boring) way. It was quite complicated to use. This book brought me a new way to see color theory. It has many visual reference, wonderful tips, inspiring ideas, cutesy illustrations and even brings projects, it will be useful for years! And make soooo easier to use the theory... Loved it!

Great book!
I decided to tackle a stack-n-whack for my second quilt and loved this book! The beginning couple of pages did a great job of explaining the basic process. I found that cutting out the pieces was the hardest part and once that was done, the blocks went together so quickly. I can't wait to make the same quilt again in different fabrics and compare the two results! The illusions in this book are ...

After years of extreme pain caused by ...poor working conditions ..., I ended up disabled. I found this book four years later. In that time, I had seen two M.D.'s, three chiropracters and two orthopedic surgeons. I was diagnosed as having a pinched nerve. After reading this book, I made an appointment with Dr. Pascarelli. I was the last new patient he took before retiring. He diagnosed me as ...

Great Book!
If you are a quilter, you must have this book. It is one of the best block books I have ever seen. She even shades the same block so you can visualize what the block will look like with light, medium and dark fabrics. Highly recommend this book to any quilter or as a gift for a quilter.

My Favorite Bedtime Longarm Machine Quilting Book
Linda Taylor's book, The Ultimate Quilt to Longarm Machine Quilting, became my teacher after purchasing my new longarm quilter at the 2007 Houston International Quilt Festival. Quilting friends highly recommend the book and the book became my teacher and companion for the past six weeks. The book clearly defines terms and how the machines work. Quick References decipher quilt jargon, how to ...

Surprisingly good
Buy this book. If you have only one book on your quilt bookshelf, it should be this one. I have a library of quilt books, but I couldn't believe how useful this one is, and you can also sit and read it like a novel. It's extremely well-researched and contains a wealth of resources that I've never seen under one cover. Where to go on quilt retreats, websites, teacher profiles, equipment, ...

exceptional
I remember the first time I saw photographs of the quilts of Gee's Bend in a magazine about seven years ago. I couldn't wait to learn about the amazing artists whose vision the quilts portray. This book is more outstanding than I imagined it could be. It is powerful, beautiful, sensitive, and historically accurate. I recommend The Quilts of Gee's Bend to anyone with an eye for artistic genius ...

Would give ten stars if possible.
I buy a good number of quilting books each year, and this is one of my absolute favorites. It was not only inspiring to me as a quilter, but it was very interesting to read the story of each quilt. Ms. Marshall's quilts are spectacular. I also like the format she uses, showing what comments were made by judges for each of the works shown. I highly recommend this wonderful book.

The greatest quilting book I've ever purchased
I must have at least 30 books alone on just quilting designs. This is more than that though. It explains everything, or almost everything, you would need to know about quilting your designs on your quilt. I don't know what I did without it. I do know my free motion quilting has improved greatly and I keep it right by my machine. The only quilter that comes close to Diane is Sharon Schamber. ...

The cover quilt, in autumn shades, and colorful fall applique blocks, is what drew me to this book. I would still buy this book for this pattern alone. Plus it's laid out one block at a time, so that you may have your very own block of the month club right in your own home. Sewing an entire quilt at once is too overwhelming for me, but one block at a time is great. The print in this book is easy ...
