This was the first book I had ever read from Mr. Grisham. Rudy as a character was amazing. I could not put this down. The plot is riviting and moving. It made me want to read his other books. I think I'll watch the movie.

Great information for the modern Realtor
Dan Gooder Richard begins by explaining that the Internet is a tool to selling homes, not a method of selling homes. It's another tool for marketing, branding, communicating, growing your business and much more. It can be for lead generation, follow-up and every Realtor must master it to survive the shifting marketplace (see Gary Keller's SHIFT: How Top Real Estate Agents Tackle Tough Times ...

Great Advice for Any Business
When times are good, there's usually enough business to go around for even the marginal companies to stay afloat. Often, they get some stray piece of business that slipped through the cracks of the industry leader; almost by accident. Their survival is usually tenuous, at best. When the economy takes a nose dive, however, only the strongest survive - those that approach the business with a ...

Great book
My 5 year old granddaughter is a Barbie fan and loved the Barbie in the Diamond Castle movie. So we got her this book to also sharpen her reading skills and help develop a love of books. She likes this book also. My only complaint is that this book is a very short and abbreviated version of the movie. Wish they would have included 5 to 15 more pages. So I give 4 stars instead of 5.

Brings a new meaning to the word "exhaustive"
At 285 pages, this is one of the most densely-packed business books you'll ever own. Much of the information is delivered to you in the form of steps, lists, bullet points...author Harry Mills wastes no time on sweet-talking you into doing these things. There's an assumption that you're reading the book because you want to make rain, period. Some of the things won't happen overnight. Some of ...

The Sequel Is Better Than First
A treasure trove of hidden gems. Like any book on sales, you're doing yourself a real disservice if you read it thinking "I already know this stuff." The real value comes from asking yourself, "How well do I do this?"

The Rainmaker by John Grisham
THE RAINMAKER By JOHN GRISHAM 1995 FIRST EDITION I was thrilled to find this book. Had watched the movie on TV, unfortunately it was so long and full of commercials, I fell asleep, so I needed to see how the story ended. Excellent book, in great condition and arrived in a timely manner.

A bible for the training of business development staff.
I used this book in the planning of a training program for business development activities at the engineering/surveying firm, Psomas and Associates. We needed a training program for every level of staff from principals to marketing support staff. This book was amazing! It made the job sooooooo much easier! The information in this book was nothing short of inspiring and the success we are ...

Great message
Bill can distill a message to it's essence better than anyone I have seen. "Art of the RainMaker" is a quick read with many practical ideas that can be implemented immediately. I particularly like the fact that Bill gives several examples of how to implement most of his recommendations, so you are bound to find something that will work for you. I highly recommend it. - Jack

Best Book (By Far) On Cross Selling
This is the best book (by far) on cross selling that I've found. The books principles can be summarized by Mr. Harding's acronym "BEST." (1) Buyers. Identify the key buyers in the client organization and strive to create relationships with as many -- if not all -- of these buyers as possible. (2) Events. Create "events" such as kick-off meetings, progress meetings, and fact-finding/exporatory ...

Portrait of a Young Entrepreneur
This is the most recent of ten books that Jeffrey Fox has written and is, in my opinion, his most entertaining. In the first part (Pages 1-128), Fox presents a business narrative in which a fictitious youth named Rain embarks on a brief but productive career as a newspaper boy. (Presumably Rain is Fox's surrogate.) Like Forest Gump, he encounters a series of adventures but unlike Gump, he seems ...
