Must Have Text
Liebenson, Craig. Rehabilitation of the Spine: A Practitioner's Manual, 2nd edition. 2007. By Ron LeFebvre, DC, Dean of Clinical Education, Western States Chiropractic College. Because busy practitioners often rapidly skim articles, especially book reviews, let me start with the bottom line. Dr. Liebenson's second edition of Rehabilitation of the Spine is a "must" book. Pharmacology in rehabilitation
Excellent book! Well-written, very easy to understand. This book covers basic neurology, anatomy, and physiology, thus provides an excellent review! It also explains very well in details how drugs act on the body. Highly recommed to physical therapy students, medicine students, and the other medical discipline students.

A good general reference
Laurie Lundy-Ekman's book was the textbook in my recent upper division neuroanatomy course and offered a good base reference for the course. The author mentions neurological problems relevant to the brain area discussed in that chapter, which is helpful for a better understanding. Its a great reference book to keep on the shelf and its smaller size makes it more handy than other larger neurology ...

Great structure and information
The text included in this manuscript is of prime and great relevance to the Orthotic and Prosthetic field. Even psychological and pharmacological aspects are included. Divided into three sections it clearly and simply illustrates practically all aspects of the Orthotic and Prosthetic field. Under the sections are a variety of chapters written by experts of that specific field. However there ...

Incredibly helpful!
I purchased this book to help my physical therapy staff develop goals that are more functional, as Medicare and most other 3rd party payers require. It was simply a SUPER resource -- both with examples, but even more importantly, with explanatory rationale. I think my staff is totally on board now, and I expect few or no Medicare reviews! Cannot give a higher rating to this book. A++++

A must for any PT treating vestibular patients
This book presents in an orderly fashion the anatomy of the vestibular system, diagnosis and goes into detail regarding diagnostics and how to structure a vestibular evaluation. The CD is great addition as it reviews tests and procedures with video and audio. I use it as a valuable reference in the clinic frequently.

Great Resource, comfortable format
The question and answer format of this text is a familiar theme in medical training, and carries over very well into this written format. The questions are "right on" as to what is really important. I review it regularly.

A valuable text
As a grad student, I'm often scrutinizing the prices and contents of my textbooks. This text approaches the occurrence of stroke from a rehabilitative standpoint. The etiology and functional sequelae are given as a requisite background, but the main focus is on treatment planning and intervention. The authors cite the latest literature in research regarding contemporary treatment approaches, as ...

Vital Information in an easy to read format!
This book is a must for all people considering a knee replacement. Especially important to get the book early enough that you can do all the pre-operative exercises to help you manage your post op better. Most surgeons just do not give you the whole picture of what the first year of your life will be like after the operation. To have a great outcome, you really need to know that your re-hab ...

Good for students, fair for clinicians
This text may be of benefit to the student physical therapist, when he/she is familiarizing himself with general ortho protocols. However, generally this information is clearly outlined by the referring orthopedic surgeon. I do not recommend this book to experienced clinicians, as the information is very remedial.

I am a physiatrist specialized in musculoskeletal pain from Lima, Peru, and I can say that this book is a wonderful review of rehabilitatión in orthopaedic surgery.
