People TRIBUTE: Remembering Michael WORTH EVERY PENNY
Enjoyed this book very much...I like that it's hardback so that it will last a long time and the corners of the pages aren't as apt to get folded or torn. I love the amount of pictures presented in the book and the accompanying information. Overall, just a very enjoyable book and a must have for Michael Jackson fans whom are wanting to remember the King of Pop and have a forever keepsake.

Well loved book
I bought this for my son when he was 6 years old, and he LOVES it. He's had it at least a year, and I still will find him re-reading it. He already had an interest in humor & jokes, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to give him some new material.

EVEN IF YOU HATED THE YANKS, YOU HAD TO LOVE THEIR PARK
At this point, I've read enough of Harvey Frommer's books to anticipate the excellent history and writing that is to be found in this one. But what I wasn't prepared for is just how beautiful the design of the book is; the bounty of photographs of the park, players, and action; and the images of memorabilia--like ticket stubs and posters--scattered throughout. If you're a Yankee fan or have read ...

Not cynically titled
It may be tempting to assume that Joe Haldeman has cynically chosen a title for this book because the title resonates with the title of his famous work "The Forever War", despite the prologue which explains the two books are unrelated except in common themes. This is NOT the case. This is NOT a cynical coattails ride on that earlier work's fame. The title of this book is perfectly apt. Give ...

What a Wonderful Man & What A Wonderful Book!!
This book isn't an autobiography, but a telling of stories by people who were involved in his life in some way, shape or form. The stories were funny, heartwarming, insightful,sad..they run the gammut of emotions. But they let you into the life of Harry Kalas that portrayed him as us Philly fans always knew; that he was true, loyal, fun, a great man..those qualities that we miss about him ...

STUNNING photographs! Captures the true beauty of Marilyn!
I saw this in a store when it was first published. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could frame the photos in this magazine. I bought this one on Amazon as a gift to my sister who is a huge Marilyn fan. It shipped a month early! I can't wait until she receives it, she's going to love it.

Raised by Martians
Stranger in a Strange Land (1961) is a classic SF story. It is set in the universe of Red Planet, but occurs much earlier. In this novel, Michael Valentine Smith is a human raised by Martians. Mike's parents -- official or otherwise -- were astronauts who made the first voyage to Mars. A decade later, the second voyage discovered his presence and brought him back to Earth. Gillian ...

What was it about John Lennon?
I can't figure it out. What is it about John Lennon that makes his photographs so fascinating, fresh, and appealing all these years after he was killed? Is it because he is the only Beatle that didn't grow old? Is it because he is the image of my generation's youth? Is it because of the music he created that still resonates today? Is it simply because he was so photogenic? Is it because he ...

Published before in a larger (and cheaper) format
Although the cover is different, the images and the text in this book are completely similar to those in a previously published book Remembering Jackie: A Life in Pictures. That book is not only in a much larger format (also a hardback), but also cheaper. However, it is still a wonderful book about Jackie with great pictures.

Without a doubt I can say that the understanding of the information in this book has changed my life. If you are ready to really get what you want out of life. . and not just say you do.. then this is the book for you.

my friends love it
Although I learned the kanji using the more straightforward methods of flash cards, writing them repeatedly, and memorizing the meanings and sounds of the semasio-phonetic components, every person I know who has tried the Heisig method has gotten amazing results. Based on that, it seems to me to be quite effective, and you might want to give it a try if the standard rote memorization learning ...

Stegner's genesis
About five years ago I stumbled onto Wallace Stegner, and I haven't been able to leave him behind. I just got around to reading _Remembering Laughter_ this past winter, mainly because it was usually not even listed among his better books; that is too bad. Stegner is one of the best American writers that hardly anybody knows, and this is probably one of his most underrated works. "Haunting" and ...

Probably the perfect Goldwater Revolution book
The year was 1964 - President Kennedy had been martyred, and now-President Johnson looked unassailable. However, there was one man on the Conservative side who seemed willing to carry the flag, and seek to turn back the tide of Liberalism that was flowing out of Washington DC - Barry Goldwater, Au H2O. And there was one man who was always there, even if he wasn't the man the cameras were pointed ...

The Answer For Struggling Learners
Okay, so I've been self teaching myself Japanese over the last few years in small doses, mainly because it's difficult to focus on it over an extended period time. Most learning sources I have come across ignore this and just encourage further reading. Here, though, they don't, and it helps you understand the wonderful value of breaks. I came across this when my friend told me about it after ...
