Very Helpful
This book provides non-biased information on what R.T.I. is. I was able to take the information back to my staff so we can plan our R.T.I. model based on this book. It is easy to read and also provides useful websites.

Responding to Respone to Intervention
As a special education teacher on special assignment this year to implement RTI, I will be brief and to the point. I attended a lecture by this professor and now have read his book. If you want clear cut information about how to implement RTI and what choices would best serve you, this is the book to use. His lecture was impressive and cut through much of the blatheration that education ...

Key to the approach is using ...

Straight Forward and Sensible
A good, simple read that's also entertaining. The book discusses the possible effects of adding faith to the relaxation response. It would appear that the original 'relaxation response', while good, has an even more profound impact if coupled with a persons personal belief system. In brief: a good, useful book with easily accessible information.

Lowered Blood pressure, No more acid reflux
Let me just start by stating that I'm a very sceptical person, and have had high blood pressure for 20 years. I also had endoscopy that showed some acid reflux. I saw the original print hardcover book and decided to read it. I couldn't put it down! I immediately began to apply the techniques from the book. My blood pressure went from 145ish/95ish to 108/65, consistently. I felt no "burning" from ...

Great Information for the Gun Owner!
I didn't know what to expect when I opened this book, but was pleased to find it packed with non-nonsense advice and information on the responsibilities and consequences of owning and gun and using it for self-protection. Of all the books I have read on the subject, this one provided me with more information and food for thought that anything I have encountered to date. I highly recommend this ...

The Answer to Open-ended Questions is Here!
This is the perfect way for teachers to break down open-ended questions. So many states are asking students to write open-ended answers and teachers don't always know how to teach this. This book allows teachers to include open-ended questions as a part of their everyday teaching; it doesn't teach to the test. In fact, it teaches students to become more critical thinkers. I would suggest ...

Good intro
The book does a good job of introducing IRT. The best chapters are the explainations of parameter estimation (i.e., maximization methods). The only bad part is that they do not adequetly discuss DIF of CAT.
