Well done.
Kevin Boyle writes about Rockaway and its inhabitants with respect and humor. It has a nice balance of history, humor, and gripping unreal reality. I am from the area and lost a loved one. This book was tough for me but I can honestly say it is the most personal and realistic look at not just the firefighters that were lost, but the people that were lost. I recommend it. - James Suhr

This book is AMAZING!!! I was constantly staying up late and reading every spare minute I could find. It held my attention and sucked me in where I even forget I was reading. In this final adventure, Aiden, Robby and Antoinette all meet in the Realm. They must combine their courage and strength to defeat the dark knight. Wayne Thomas Batson does a great job writing this book. Everything has ...

Don't confuse lust with love... or trust
After the first book in the series, I couldn't get my hands on this one fast enough. And it didn't disappoint. It was less a romance novel than the first, darker and a little more disturbing. We get to see our heroine in a less-than-flattering light, and I think it makes her a better character. She struggles with her inner demons, and while she doesn't always do the smartest thing, or perhaps ...

The Rise of the Wyrm Lord!
The Rise of the Wyrm Lord, hmmmmm......... how do I describe it? It is one of the best books in the world!! It's exciting, exhilarating, breathtaking, thrilling and most of all, an adventurous book!!! Aiden, who was the main character in the first book in this series, is not to travel to the Realm again (which is disappointing at first, but then exciting!). At the first day of school, he ...

Reviewing The Rise of Modern China
This book by Immanuel Hsu used to be my school text 23 years ago! Now in its 6th Edition, I must say is an excellent piece of work. However, there are still certain words which are wrong, for eg, page 100, 2nd Paragraph, "...He was "found" of Adma Schall von Bell, whom he appointed..." The word should be FOND and not "found".... I have detected several similar errors in the book.... ...

If you really want to know....
Briah Doherty nails it. He provides as comprehensive a story about Burning Man as is possible. If you have never been to the event, and you want to know what it's like, and your friends haven't told you a thousand stories, read this book. If you have been to That Event In The Desert, read this book. If your friends can't finish a story about Burning Man in any sort of cohesive way, read ...

Wave After Wave (In The Ocean of Emotion)
There are people in this world...maybe you know a few of them...maybe you are one of them...who don't really seem to fit in with things of this world. They are driven by maddness or inspiration or both and bring forth things to this world that can never be replicated. Such is the art of Ron Stoner. I call his photography art because that is exactly what it is. It captures more than a sport ...

Biblical Salvation
This will give you a biblical understanding of how salvation takes place and why it is necessary for an individual to desire salvation! This is aimed more towards an individual that is very new in the faith, on the edge about Christianity, or just doesn't know anything at all. Short work and definitely is an easy read. This is a prize and I would highly recommend this is any and all. Some ...

I came across this book first as part of my academic studies and initially felt it to be purely historical with no basis for current public health implications. But, if you read the text fully and deliberate on the issues present the information presented give you an accurate view of how the current geo-political atmosphere in US healthcare has been shaped to this day. The reader can see how many ...

Where is D.L. Carey
I lied...I haven't read the book. However, I HAVE been in touch with Diane Carey, and she says that the publisher made the decision to abandon the trilogy due to some unrelated internal problems. She expressed that same disappointment that you all seem to; the series was very special to her. Count yourselves among the fortunate to have read the first two installments...I can't find them ...
