Great Book!
This is a terrific book! I've just started working my way through it and I'm impressed. I've used other methods before, but this one seems workable.

Best one in series so far
I love how such a diverse group of people read these books. I totally disliked the 5th book because it was disjointed and made no sense, but others loved it. In this one, I felt Patterson tied everything together in the end with great stories through out. I loved this one. Can't wait to see if Schitzo man comes back later as he seemed to have his eyes set on Lindsey at the end of his book.

Terrific Book!
This is a fantastic read! The book discusses the plight our society faces when the bill comes due on pensions and health benefits for many corporations, city and state governments. It prompted me to look at the state of Nevada pension plan for teachers. The plan is grossly underfunded and guess who gets to pay for these benefits when the plan runs out of money. Me, the taxpayer. As of June 30, ...

A multi-layered shimmer that bedazzles
Andrew Sean Greer is a riot of talent. He carves his words with such precision that one can have no choice but to be surrender to his writing. His works, including Story of a Marriage, always deal with the subtle underplay of the human mind, and ultimately reveal the fragility of our existence. I don't want to reveal the stories - a lot of reviewers have already done that. Besides, with this ...

Ah, the perfect book on baking!
All I can say is, Wow. Tartine is not only one of the most delicious bakeries anywhere, but they have created a cookbook that lives up to the food they serve. The pictures are illustrative and gorgeous. The writing is clear and succinct. But best of all, the recipes are thorough. I love how they give such detailed descriptions and explanations on all of the delicious sweets so that you can ...

Coach of the Decade (the 1980's)
Bill Walsh was the brilliant, insecure coach who won immortality with the the San Francisco 49ers in the 1980's. Mr. Harris follows his career from the Bengals of Paul Brown to Stanford (and other stops in-between) to the 49ers. He perfected an air attack that became known as the West Coast Offense and drafted the players to carry it out (Joe Montana, Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice, etc). The book is ...

Loved 5th, missed 6th, loved 7th
I have become a huge Patterson after reading the 5th Horseman, lapsed on the 6th Target and found my way back for 7th Heaven. I just love the play on numbers. This is the 7th novel in his Women's Murder Club series and the book starts off in as far a place from heaven as possible with victims found bound and gagged and burned. Yet the mystery doesn't begin there as Patterson reveals to us who the ...

Bloodsucking Fiends
Christopher Moore's Bloodsucking Fiends: A Love Story is the first book in the vampire series with C. Thomas Flood and Jody. It's too bad that I read You Suck: A Love Storyfirst. However, even though I knew what happened at the end of this book, it was still a great read. ***Spoiler Alert*** C. Fantastic bilinqual book!
Having been born and raised in the Midwest, I've always had a fascination with Mexico's Day of the Dead. The idea that you could joyously celebrate the lives of family and friends who have passed on struck me as being unique and beautiful. The Little-Bitty Book for the Day of the Dead starts with an imaginative and whimsical poem, in both English and Spanish, illustrated with the most charming ...

Highly recommended by a friend. He highlighted the trips he's already taken versus the book and said it was spot on. Most cities are tropical, with great diving and marlin fishing, gorgeous golf courses and beaches. After seeing the pictures of his girlfriends in each town, well, let's just say I dragged him straight to my computer and we booked a flight. I've just got back from Aruba and ...

Very good book!
I really enjoyed this book. I could not put it down. I found it to be a very honest, emotional, and raw account of her life. I am just amazed at how she could overcome all of the things that she went through. Her story could certainly become a best selling movie!! The best book I read in a long time.

What if the Nazis / Japanese Won WWII, the U.S. Conquered & Divided?
What makes The Man in the High Castle so compelling is that it portrays a bleak alternate reality that could very well have come to pass. What many people in the modern age forget is that the Axis powers of Nazi Germany, Japan and Italy, very nearly won WWII. Furthermore, the United States was not always the dominant power that it is today. In fact, prior to WWII the global military might of ...
