Fantistic Passover book for children!
I loved this book, both as a parent and religious school teacher. The pictures are creative, clear and engaging. The text is a delightful telling of the Passover story. A great gift for children old enough to read themselves as well as a wonderful book children will want you to read to them. I highly recommend this book!
Seder Stories: Passover Thoughts on Food, Family, and Freedom

After reading this book I appreciate the similar differences between Jews and every other ethnic and religious group
Not being Jewish, I was unaware of most of the tradition associated with the rite of Passover. I certainly knew it to be the celebration of the migration of the Jewish tribes out of the slavery of Egypt to the land now known almost universally as the Holy Land. However, the symbolic reaffirmation of tradition and Jewish roots so inherent in the holiday was not part of my knowledge. Reading ...
Ancient Seder Olam: A Christian Translation of the 2000-year-old Scroll
Ken Johnson
CreateSpace
, 2006
This 2000-year-old scroll reveals the chronology from Creation through Cyrus' decree that freed the Jews in 536 BC. The Ancient Seder Olam uses Biblical prophecy to prove its calculations of the timeline. We have used this technique to continue the timeline all the way to the reestablishment of the nation of Israel in AD 1948. Using the Bible and rabbinical tradition, it shows that the ancient Jews awaited King Messiah to fulfill the prophecy ...

Amazing
I've always been intrigued and impressed by the Scanimation line of animated picture books. Their lo-fi eye candy is especially compelling in todays increasingly digital world. As soon as I saw the Star Wars edition today, I bought it on the spot at a local bookstore. After I signed my slip I realized I was so blown away by the product I forgot to check the price before I bought it. Like all ...

Gallop is a great children's book. It teaches children the movements of animals through words and through the visual creations on each page. The animals really do look like they are moving. Sturdy pages and cover make the book indestructible with children.

seder olam
found it a very useful book in getting some insight into the chronology according to the old jewish teaching. found it rather confusing to make distinctions between what the original text was, what the comments of the Jewish commentators were and what the comments of Guggenheimer were. A clearer presentation could greatly help.

The best for a diverse group of guests
I am a "haggadah hoarder"! I have bought them ALL and personally use many of them for pre-seder preparation from year to year. And yet, THIS version is the one I set my table with -- it is attractive and easy to read, the gorgeous, colorful photos and illustrations thru-out make each page a delight. The questions and BRIEF commentary generate discussion. Every section one needs for a "proper" ...

A winner, makes a great gift
You don't have to be Jewish or a child to enjoy this book. So far we've shared this book with several very different families and they all loved it. It's a sensitive tale, well illustrated, with believable characters and it rings authentic. I wouldn't recommend it for toddlers, but anyone from age 6 and up can appreciate the story. I especially liked that the story's ending is uplifting without ...

She has her two goldfish at Mom's and Ollie, her beagle, ...
