A very interesting suspenseful book
The huge number of readers who enjoyed Larsson's first book The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will be thrilled with this one, for the drama and suspense are even better. The main characters are the same with the same interesting idiosyncrasies. The book has the same problems - it is difficult to identify and distinguish the Swedish people's names and the places because they all sound the same - but ...

Amazing if you're new to Austen
This is amazing and perfect for anyone just being introduced to Austen. As some others have already said, it should specified clearly that this is a different version than the original but for what it is it is amazing.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

I am always impressed with these type of books.
As all good Sherlock Holmes books, they keep you guess at what is is going on. The at the end it makes you feel silly because it is all just elemetary to the novice. This is a must read and for the price you can't beat it. I am always looking for books along the same type.

Not Great Literature BUT A Great Read
It's far from a literary masterpiece, but it's a darn good read -- grabs you on page 1 and propels you through it. It reminds me of "First Blood" which did much the same. The book is a fine escape, fun, fast-paced, and suspenseful. Liked the first half better than the last half, but the first half was more than sufficient to provide enough forward momentum to finish up. Those who want a ...

Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer but with Fae...
This is the first book in the five book Fever series by Moning. The fifth book "Shadowfever (Mackayla Lane)" is scheduled to release in January of 2011. I enjoyed this first book in the series, although you can tell the purpose of this book is mainly to introduce us to Mac and the world she's been thrust in to. MacKayla Lane, Mac to her friends, is your typical southern belle Barbie-doll ...

Great afternoon read
A great, truly timeless story about Alice and the interesting characters she meets on her journey through Wonderland. I loved both films, and now I love the book. Read it in two sittings on my new Kindle. The best part about it is that it's free!

Sweet story on many levels
A sweet story about a mother and daughter who vacation together in Florence, Italy. They both have plans and expectations for their future, and circumstances on the vacation cause them to re-evaluate those plans. I really, really wanted to see what would happen to each of these women, so the story kept me engaged. Introducing each chapter is a little unrelated tidbit (usually a 'letter' ...

Read it!
At first I had trouble following the charactaers and story line but 1/4 into it I was rolling. A wonderful story. Very original and I hated it to end.

Excellent Book
One word. Wow. This book has its own twists and turns which kept me eager to read. Jason Boyer, the heir to over a billion dollars in assets, has found a greater meaning to weath and power. He's found his purpose. 5/5

Great Read!
I got this book as a Kindle freebie and was very surpised to find that it was an interesting and sexy read. I've never heard of the author before but after reading this book I plan to read more written by her! Slow Hands is entertaining from start to finish and will not disappoint.

This is exactly what the kindle was made for! allow people to understand and enjoy classics in the public domain for free! It is the distribution of knowledge that the educational system was created for. Anyone can read this, anyone can download this. Not only a classic book, but free. This could be the entrance to a better world.

The new fiction for the new wars
Yes, it has started. We have gone from the spy novels of the Cold War to the new fiction of Iraq and Afghanistan. As a clinical therapist, I found this book well done in describing what we as professionals and as a nation will see in our returning Warriors. It's going to be a long tough road to healing. Plus hooray to Maxine Paetro for the well done research.

Not my favorite
I was eager to read The Outsider because I loved The Scent of Lilacs so much, but was disappointed somewhat. Gabhart is a very good writer; maybe I just didn't enjoy reading about the Shaker community. "A peculiar people" is certainly a good description, based on their beliefs. There are no family relationships - like husband/wife, mother/daughter, etc. Everyone is merely "brother" or "sister" to ...

Excellent Book
What an unexpected surprise, I downloaded the Kindle App for my iPod Touch and since this book is public domain, it was a free download. I had never read this book (can't believe it, 55 and I never read it) ... well, not only is the Kindle on the iPod a very nice app the book is outstanding. Now, I much prefer reading any book on the Kindle, I wish the electronic price would come down a bit as ...

couldn't put the book down
i really enjoyed this book maybe because the girl reminded me of myself. what a great example of how a relationship should work. it was sexy without sex. it was Godly without over doing it but it was well written by a person who must have a wonderful relationship like myself and that is saying something for i have been married for 29 years :o) i recommend this book to anyone getting into a ...
