World's Most Spine-Tingling "True" Ghost Stories1 review
Sheila Anne Barry

Sterling Pub Co Inc, 1992

OOOOOOOO! Spooky
Yes, I typed in another review for "World's Weirdest 'True' Ghost Stories". What happened was, I got these two books in a pack. They also came with a spooky casette, but I've long since lost that. Anyways, it's close to Halloween, and I dug these two books out from the closet. In this book, I would deffinetly read, "The Black Dog of Hanging Hills". It gets you're mind working!

Abominations: 17 Spine-Tingling Tales Of Murderous Monsters And Horrific Creatures3 reviews
Tim Deal

Shroud Publishing LLC, 2008

Yaaay! Horror at its best, say I!
FINALLY, a true and original, (not cheesy at all) creature fest! I am a 30+ yr lover of anthologies of horror, and find many to lack scariness or a fast pace. This was devoured my me in 3 nights, with hardly any time to read with a 1 yr old baby boy! I loved it. Couldnt reccomend it enough- I PROMISE you wont be dissapointed. GET IT!

Bart Simpsons Treehouse of Horor Spine-tingling Spooktacular1 review

Perennial,2001, 2001

Simpsons book
This is my favorite of the Simpson's book, it is loaded with stories, jokes, and two page art spreads. It is much larger than the typical graphic novel. The art and stories are very true to the show.

Haunted Hikes: Spine-Tingling Tales and Trails from North America's National Parks10 reviews
Andrea Lankford

Santa Monica Press, 2006

A History Lesson
Not just a book of haunted tales, but a history lesson in some of the most unusual occurences in our most popular wilderness areas. What I like about Andrea Lankford's style of writing is her leaving it to the reader to draw their own conclusions. An informative guide to National Parks we may have never considered visiting before. Awakens curiosities never imagined about many places.

Ghost Stories Deck: 50 Spine-Tingling Tales to Tell After Dark3 reviews
S. E. Schlosser

Potter Style, 2009

Ghost Stories Around the Campfire......BOO!
This is one of the coolest ghost story collections I have ever purchased. There are 50 4" x 5-1/2" cards that have a "scare rating" on the corner so you can decide which stories are okay to tell to the Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts at their campouts and the rest you can spook your friends at the bonfire party. One of my favorites was "Don't Turn On The Lights". This collection is fun for someone who ...

Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror Spine-tingling Spooktacular7 reviews, 2008

Fun gift
This is a fun book for children who enjoy the simpsons. It is not too scary, and has fun activities like word search and connect the dots.

Spine Tingling Tales1 review
Philippa Perry, 1996

So Good it's Scary!
The cover probably does not do this sensational book justice in reaching its target audience. The cover design of this book makes it look like a program you would pick up at a travelling carnival and like the book only appeals to kids. Whilst this book is definitely very kid friendly and would be a great present for children it is also a great book of facts for adults. There are plenty of ...

Campfire Collection: Spine Tingling Tales to Tell14 reviews
Eric Martin

Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media, 2002

Pleasantly Surprised
I am an avid reader of "scary" stories, and there certainly are a lot of lousy collections out there. This book isn't one of them. Though the title proved to be misleading to most of you, I thought this book was fantastic. Sure, it's not exactly appropriate for campfire readings if you're at girl scout camp, but I thought that the short fiction included in The Campfire Collection was far more ...

Slightly Scary Campfire Stories: Featuring Four Spine-Tingling Stories2 reviews
Michael Teitelbaum

Smithmark Publishers Inc., 1994

A good beginning camper book
These stories have all the traditional set-ups of ghost stories with a non scary ending. Things may go "bump in the night," but it is racoons in the garbage, nothing more frightening. We read these to some Daisy Girl Scouts (kindergarteners) at their first evening campfire, and they loved it.

Everything Kids' Halloween Puzzle And Activity Book: Mazes, Activities, And Puzzles for Hours of ...2 reviews
Beth L. Blair

Unknown, 2010

Great activity book
I bought this book for my 5yo son. Some of the puzzles were beyond him at first pass, but there were enough that he could do to get him hooked. We kept it in the car, and brought it into restaurants with us, so it would give him something to keep him occupied. After flipping through and doing all of the 'easy' ones, he liked it so much that he went through again and worked on the harder ones ...

Even More Short & Shivery: Thirty Spine-Tingling Tales6 reviews
Robert D. San Souci

Yearling, 2003

Even More Short And Shivery; A Review By: Maris
Even More Short and Shivery By: Robert D. San Souci Have you ever read a book that you were afraid to read because it was so frightening? For me this book was just like that. In my book there are forty- five scary stories, but I think the scariest one was "Knock, Knock, Knock." It's about ...

Country Living Happy Halloween!: Bewitching Parties and Recipes, Enchanting Pumpkins and Decorations, Plus ...4 reviews
The Editors of Country Living

Hearst, 2009

a compilation of previous books
I have the other two halloween books from Country Living and when the description for this new book stated that this book contained the best ideas from the previous books and some new ideas, I was hoping for some more ideas from the magazine and web site, but no, I found only a few new ideas. So if you have the previous books too, I do not suggest you purchase this one... BUT if you do not have ...
