Makes work fun
Fish! is a great book that teaches you how to have fun at work and make your job into something you enjoy coming to each day. It tells the story of a woman who goes through a transformation to learn this very thing from an unlikely source: the fish mongers at a Seattle fish market. A cute story and helpful book that has been used effectively in my company. Another business fable I just came ...

This is an excellent book for those who need to know why we should not eat certain foods. It is a convincing argument for healthful eating without making one feel you are on the D word.

BPD & Understanding
I have BPD and this book has shed a lot of light into the inner workings of my thoughts and feelings. So far this is the best book that I have found for people that have BPD & Non BPD's to read and help cope with the disorder. The best aspect of the book is the short stories of people who have BPD. It shows that you are not alone and that other people have gone through similar situations.

Handbook
I like this version. Smaller, lighter, easier to take. I use it when reading papers and doing mine. However it will be more diserable if they keep the red blod words which make the title and keywords more clear. I know some of the student buy it because the instructors ask them to. But it is really useful even if your major is not psychology.

Needed Help
I just got the new iPhone 3g, I had no problem figure out most of the features on the phone and the basic stuff. But I knew from what everyone said there was a lot to learn still. This book helped me so much. I learned things that I would never have figured out on my own. And WOW was it easy to read and apply what I learned. The authors sense of humor comes out and makes it not only easy to ...

This should be required reading in our schools
Our country will never be able to live up to the lofty ideals of our founding documents unless we come to grips with the truth of how we got where we are. This book tells the truth about how the people on top have butchered and suppressed others in order to STAY on top. The first 10 pages are absolutely shocking - WHY do we celebrate Columbus Day? Every American school student should be ...

How to Win Friends and Influence People: review by Jon Gillespie-Brown, Author "So you want to be an entrepreneur"
How reading a single book can change your life! It's true, when I was 16 years old I (like many others I have now found out since then) read my first book about business. I was drawn to it in a small, old fashioned book shop that's no longer in business. At the time I didn't really know any entrepreneurs or people that ran their own business and I had no mentor to point me in the right ...

Taking Care of Ourselves
A decade or so ago a friend who was going through a rough patch in her life had a therapist who highly recommended this book of meditations. I happened to be in Barnes and Noble with her when she bought Melody Beattie's book, and after perusing a few of the passages, I bought one for myself. What a difference reading The Language of Letting Go made (and continues to make) in my life. I've ...

Wonderful book
We really enjoyed this book and reading it to our daughter - who is nearly three. It not only captivates her imagination but is full of wonderful old fashioned values - particularly of being "liked for the person who you are". I would highly recommend it.

Great Food in No Time at All!
I have recently become a fan of The Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten) and wanted to own one of her lavishly illustrated coffee table cookbooks. I checked them all out of my local library and settled on this, her first book--not because it is better, but because it contains more of the recipes I am interested in. The photos are lovely, directions easy to follow and taste is superb, plus they are not ...

A great look into ancient Greece.
If and easy-to-read introduction into Greek Mythology is what you are seeking, then there is no need to look any longer. All the stories from Gaia and her children the Titans to the legendary gods atop Mt. Olympus and their children are explained in rich detail with fully colored illustrations, that alone are worthy of 5-stars. But the adventure doesn't stop there, all the minor and major events ...

Fascinating!
It took me a while to open this book, as I was absolutely convinced that, with a title like Guns, Germs and Steel, the subject could only be war. Eventually, however, I opened the book, and was absolutely fascinated by it. The premise of the book is Yali's question. Yali, a native of New Guinea, has never been out of his country, is "Why is it that you white people developed so much cargo and ...

Absolutely incredible.
This is one of the best books I've ever read! I was recommended the author by a customer at work and ordered the book on a whim and was totally beyond satisfied with my purchase! The story revolves around Rachel, a goody-goody who has recently slept with her best friend's fiancee during a drunken birthday ...
