Very good, clear written and easy to read!
Shalom everyone, I am a 4th year medicine student in Italy. I have bought this book since I was about to start a rheumatology and clinical immunology course. I found that "The Immune System by Peter Parham" is a very clear written book, filled with colorful diagrams and very simple to understand pictures. Every paragraph starts with a subtitle, a preview and very slowly, it proceeds from the ...

Tip-Top
This was a text in my master's program, I now work developing education programs for personal trainers and use Neumann's book as a prime reference. The author does an excellent job of describing how muscles function in vertical, upright movements as opposed to how they are often described from a horizontal, supine position on a table. This book is a must-have reference for any fitness ...

The purchase and deliver went without a hitch. Very prompt - unfortunately the class was canceled due to low enrollment so I have not needed to use the book. I hope next semester uses the same book so I can get it's full benefit. Maria

MIssing Material
Book does not come with the student content that it is suppose to come with. It is supposed to come with online appendices A though L and downloads for files used in each chapter. I would not advise to by a 130 dollar incomplete book. It was release in December of 2007 unprepared for people to use because it makes references to sites and files that don't exist but are supposed to. Signed Cheated ...

Boon to Ritalin industry
You can pretty much judge this one by its cover. It's very shiny and contains a grammatical error right in the title. Nearly half of the book is occupied by graphics and other visual aids. Personally, I felt like I was developing ADD reading this book. I was constantly being diverted away from the text by figures that more often than not added nothing of value. The book is fairly shallow and ...

Very Good Book
I am an Aerospace graduate student reading this book on my own time and pace (not taking the undergrad Electrical Engineering class that teaches/uses this book). I found out about this book because my friend (an EE student) was in that class and I asked him if I could look through it. After looking through it I decided to buy it, and I'm glad I did. This is a VERY GOOD no-nonsense book. A ...

as well written as could be for a dry subject of systems analysis
I had to take Systems Analysis as part of my masters degree and usually, anything you _must_ take becomes less interesting BUT, this book does a good job of clearly explaining the process of systems analysis. From identifying entities in a process flow diagram with visual aides to the accompanying CDROM with slide show presentations of the content, I think this book provides a painless way to ...

Great, practical book on basic DB internals
A few years back, I created a special-purpose, custom-built, high-speed relational DBMS using just this book and general computer science knowledge. Darn thing blew the socks off more general purpose solutions and was very stable even after a crash. The book covers access methods, indexing, logging, crash recovery and other basics. If you want to know how database systems are built at the nuts ...

Very worthwhile read
This book is an interesting and informative look at how activism is changing. It identifies tactics which have been used effectively (such as the use of the internet for fundraising), as well as those which have lost their effectiveness over time (for example, street protests). It lays out very distinctly actions to take and provides examples along the way of both successes and failures. I ...
