Great Book for SVT Historians
What a great down to earth story of Ford's disbanded SVT group. One of the best automotive books out there.

A Masterful Artbook
This blew me away. I enjoyed this film, for what it was, but getting to see inside the late, GREAT Stan Winston's mind, and his remaining workshop is always a blessing to me. Much like the AVP artbooks, this gets you a deeper look at what was used to create these things, up close shots, and much of the mechanical elements. The concept art is wonderful as well, and anyone looking for ...

Fast, exciting and intelligent
"Dark Futures" is an exciting novel with a lot of fast action and an incredibly mean new Terminator from the future. The story moves really fast, on two different time lines. On both of them, John Connor and his mother Sarah are trying to stop Skynet from destroying humanity, but it is a lot stronger than they are, and maybe smarter. The new Terminator is almost indestructible, and they have to ...

Really expands upon the movie
A really great book. While the majority of it is found in the movie, there are several scenes that aren't. These scenes give you more understanding of the storyline. The rest expand upon what's already in the movie. Alot of the unnamed minor characters have names in the book. It was very interesting reading about the psychology of Reese. With Reese you become highly reminded of our troops in ...

The perfect complement to the movie
This book, which takes place 5-6 months before the movie, is an excellent introduction to the post-Judgment Day world of 2018. We meet most of the main characters of the movie and get some insight into their history, character, and motivations. We also get a real look at what day-to-day life is like in the post-apocalypse, not just for the epic heroes but also for average people trying to survive ...

More Terminator!
My super husband was very pleased to receive The Terminator Omnibus, Vol. 1 for his birthday. He yelled, "Oh, wow!" upon opening the gift. He immediately tore into the graphic novel stories. He was totally sated that day. We are very pleased to have more Terminator in our lives.

Very Interesting Read
I found out about this series in my Philosophy class (the professor wrote a chapter in a different book), and I thought it looked interesting. It is. Very. The essays are divided into categories, like "Life After Humanity and Artificial Intelligence" and "The Ethics of Termination." Some of the essays are funny, some (not too many) almost require an advanced degree to understand (mostly the ...

Cure not cover up
This is a unique book. While most books on snoring and sleep apnea treat symptoms, Dr. Fong goes for a cure. After showing the anatomy of the problem, he shows the limitations of other treatments. Weak muscle tone is a problem with snoring. In one chapter, he describes Snore Terminator exercises. This directly attacks weak muscle tone. This may work on snoring and mild sleep apnea. This book ...

An Excellent Book That Salvages the T3 Movie Disaster
Aaron Allston superbly patches up the gaping holes created by the movie T3: Rise of The Machines. This book gives an exciting and technically competent look at the world as it is in 2029 while providing the reader with a new story that is very much more convincing than the crap created by the introduction of TX in T3. If you are like me and were very dissapointed with T3 the movie, and found it ...

a decent little adventure
"Deathstroke the Terminator"... with a name like that, you'd better be able to back it up. In the trade paperback DEATHSTROKE THE TERMINATOR: FULL CYCLE, Slade Wilson does exactly that, leaving a trail of broken bodies in his wake. It's a quick read by Marv Wolfman and Steve Erwin from the very early `90s that features Slade once again paying the price for his past sins. Everyone thought his ...

Excellent
As this book, its artwork, and the resulting movie skillfully portray, machines, whether intelligent or not, can rust and require lubrication, they can find it hard to function in wet or wind-blown sandy environments, and above all, they must obey the laws of physics. As such machines constructed out of electronic components would be highly susceptible to electromagnetic pulses emitted from ...

Fantastic detailing of excellent film
I really enjoyed Terminator 2. It had some great scenes that the movie left out - like scenes with Kyle in the future and in Sarah's dream. Also had more characterization because you could read what the characters were thinking. Would have liked to have had the scene where the "learning chip" is turned on put in the movie. Mr. Frakes described a poignant moment when Miles Dyson dies. ...

Appropriate Response
This was a very good look at "The Terminator." It covers issues such as the debt to Harlan Ellison, the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and how the violence and anti-social nature of the original movie were sanitized in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." There is a fascinating discussion on why the audience responds to the villain in "Terminator" and not the hero (Michael Biehn), and the analysis ...

Better than the movie
Times of Trouble is at least as good as the two earlier Blackford books. Just like in the first two, the characters are great (and Jade, the superhuman girl from the future, is very cool), and there's lots of fast action, but it's also very realistic - not like the T3 movie. There's all sorts of time- and space-travel across diferent time-lines, with John and his friends attacking the Skynets, ...
