Good work.
i thought it was a good story. it was not more than i expected, and it was not less. it was the same sort of shakespearian writing, and folger does a pretty good job of defining terms. as usual, i loved how folger put famous quotes at the end of the book, because i find that quoting shakespeare is a lot of fun. the story wasn't actually that interesting, though. kind of boring, since the ...

Excellent addition to your 12 Night shelf
There are several really worthwhile editions of 12th Night, but don't overlook this one. The Foreword and notes are excellent and useful; the format's sturdy and readable. It's a good copy to have for the scholar/performer/director.

Incredibly Detailed Book
By reading The 12th Planet, very early on one comes to realize that Mr. Sitchin knows his subject very well. The paralelles he draws are so incredibly detailed and meticulously documented that he leaves no doubt in one's mind that he is at the very least a master in the sciences, religions, history, and languages of the ancient past, as well as the present. Thank You for writing this amazing ...

A good book and an excellent author!
I've read every book that Mandino has written. This was the first book that got me hooked on this author. He is a great story teller and a great motivational/inspirational writer! This is a must read for anyone over the age of 12. If all little league coaches read this book, there would be less problems with out of control coaches. This is not about baseball but about how to deal with life and ...

Great Intro to Shakespeare
This is one great book. It explains the story very clearly so very young children can understand but still appeals to older children. I think this is a great series to introduce children to Shakespeare. It is so simply written it could be used at bed time, yet it still gets the story very well and is not degrading to the original plays. I highly recommend it.

Sparknotes Rule!!
We are collecting as many Sparknotes as possible. When you are required to read Shakespeare, you must have a guide. It's that simple. There is no guide better, in our opinion as teachers, and students of literature.

I like this book.
It's a good book. It has an easy-to-read layout with round and readable type faces. Unlike many other Shakespeare books, it shows the names of characters in full without abbreviations so that you don't have to memorize the abbreviations or keep on guessing who's speaking at a given time. It also has nice space between each character's speech so that things are not crammed up to save space. ...

Critically acclaimed as one of Shakespeare's most complex and intriguing plays, Twelfth Night is a classic romantic comedy of mistaken identities. In recent years it has returned to the center of critical debate surrounding gender and sexuality. The introduction explores the multiple factors that make up the play's rich textual, theatrical, critical, and cultural history. Keir Elam surveys the play's production and reception, emphasizing ...

Two People Who Should Never Have Been Together
The author did a good job of trying to stay unbiased (UNLIKE the TV movies which were terribly one-sided against Betty). That said, these are two people who should never have married. Each was royally messed up and it was doomed from the start. Sadly, it's yet another example of how organized religion makes people stay in bad situations. Neither Dan nor Betty is very admirable as they were ...

A truly delightful comedy
The characters are what make this play so wonderful. The play was originally written to be performed for a Christmas progam. The play is a glorious irony in that it is so joyful, but that is played off the terrible sadness of the principal characters. Shakesepeare also reinforces this plot with some glorious poetry. Shakespeare also makes use of identical twins in this one. This would be a ...

The thrust of greatness
"Twelfth Night" is built upon the reliable comedic premise of mistaken identity. We begin with a shipwreck and a twin brother and sister, Sebastian and Viola, each of whom believes that the other has died at sea. Viola disguises herself as a boy and, assuming the name of Cesario, gets a job as a page for Orsino, the duke of Illyria, with whom she is in love. Orsino, however, is in love with a ...

Best Available Atlas
Nothing on the market today compares with the old Rand McNally International Atlas. Unfortunately, it's been out of print for decades and time marches on. Of the atlases now in print and reasonably up-to-date, the National Geographic, Oxford 16th Edition, and Times Comprehensive atlases are the best, and of them the Times is clearly superior. I've never liked the NatGeo style (a matter of ...
