THE book for all Health Physicists
I received my copy of the fourth edition of "Introduction to Health Physics" today and took a good look at it. Chapter two and three don't have a lot of substantial changes, but it looks like the rounding errors in the previous editions have been corrected. There are more homework problems in each chapter too. Chapter four has a new section on accelerators, with a good explanation of each ...

A must for sonographers!!
This text should be adopted by all Diagnostic Ultrasound schools. This is an invaluable text for both those wishing to understand ultrasound and those preparing for their board exams. The text is organized in a way to meet anyones learning style with lots of questions and a very well done CD. I was recently at a board review course at which Mr. Miele was presenting, he followed the two ...
Ultrasound Physics Review: A Review for the Ardms SPI Exam

If you are looking for a SPI book with only questions and answers to review for the ARDMS exam, buy this book.
I just passed the ARDMS SPI test and used an old version of Kremkau's "Diagnostic Ultrasound Principles and Instruments" and Owens "Ultrasound Physics Review" to prepare. I recommend this book if you are just looking for questions and answers (more than 500 hundred plus 120 for the CME with no answers and the CME costs an extra $40). The book goes into more detail than the test especially on ...

Clearly Written
As a first year medical physics student, this book seems to be very well written. Khan explains things very clearly and summarizes information from Johns and Cunningham very well. It seems like this would be a very good reference book. The diagrams are also quite illustrative.

Essentials of Ultrasound Physics..An exceptional aid!
Any individual preparing for the ARDMS exams in diagnostic medical ultrasound need look no further. At last, a book that is readable, easy to follow (actually follows the ARDMS physics outlline) and is very well illustrated with interesting and intuitive diagrams. The author has the rare talent of translating an extremely complex subject into everyday, understandable language.

Excellent text for radiology resident physics course
This is one of the better textbooks i've encountered for teaching physics to radiology residents. Other books such as Bushberg are good, but it doesn't quite go into the same detail on some subjects like Christensen does. A new edition updating topics such as MRI, digital imaging and removing some of the chapters like xeroradiography would be nice. I'd also like to see a chapter or two on ...

perfect for the ARDMS general physics and instrumentation exam
I purchased this book in preparation for taking the ARDMS general physics and instrumentation exam. At first, I reviewed all my notes and re-read my entire textbook (Kremkau). I thought I was well prepared. Then I began this book's questions. I found SO many questions that just looked at situations differently than I had thought of them and really cemented in my mind, okay, if you do this, ...

short and best
With this short book, you can save a lot of effort. If you do not know any thing about physics, you have to read every word. But later on, you ONLY read those tables in each page to get the information directly with important questions and answer. By this way you can review the whole book before examination in one hour. I have passed the SPI test with score 680 (the passing score is 555).
