Vendetta
This fourth installment to the insanely juicy Lucky Santangelo series is probably my favorite of all. In Vendetta, Lucky winds up in the most precarious circumstance she's ever come across when her treasured Panther Studios is stolen right up under her by Donna Landsmen ... the corrupt and evil widow of Lucky's old nemesis, Santino Bonnatti. Although Donna knows what a lying filthy snake she ...

Super Reader
This book is actually very good. It is great to have V as a point of view character at times, such as when he sees the unconscious Evey in Jordan Towers, or confronting Creedy underground.. This may well be one of the best 'tie-in' efforts ever produced. Some of the political and other history related to countries other than England is given more detail in the novel.

i always found it interesting to find out what was in the pockets of criminals when they were gunned down.in dillingers' case 7.70,not a lucky number for him but according to purvis, lucky for someone. the police who riffed through the pockets of dillingers' corpse, definitely hit the jackpot, and to leave an extra seven cents would be too obvious.Purvis gives a name of who probably ended up with ...

Depicting Dissent With A Cinematic Vengeance.
(from an extended feature, copyright 2006 Michael F. Hopkins) Few literary masterworks offer more narrative wonder, and more frustration to adapt to the silver screen, than the socioculturally-charged V FOR VENDETTA by writer Alan Moore and illustrator David Lloyd. Its mix of Fascist horror, Romantic adventure, and Science Fiction contemplation, has thrilled readers of Sequential ...

A fun ride even though the villain is hokey
The lead villain in the Lazarus Vendetta is a mad scientist aptly named Lazarus leading a small army of equally mad mercenaries and equally mad subordinate scientists on a path to world domination and mass international genocide. On the other side of the fence, attempting to thwart this dastardly plan, is an American specials ops doctor named Jon Smith and a sly old British secret service agent ...

Fast paced spy thriller, easy to read and hard to put down.
First, a warning. I would bet $20 that one person wrote the first chapter of this book and someone else wrote the rest of the book. I nearly didn't read this book because the first chapter was so flowery and prosaic. I had seen the book in a store and picked it up, turned to the middle and read a few pages. It seemed very interesting and readable and I ordered it here. Then when I started ...

Is the warning of this classic tale all that far off from the big brother induced haze some of the west is seeping into currently? A must read.

A very gripping, somewhat dark, mystery. Thankfully, Aurelio Zen has a cat's nine lives. It's a very atmospheric novel, and I plan to read all the Michael Dibdin books I can get my hands on.

A Critical Moment in American History
Every society has a moment in time where a decision affecting civil liberties has enormous repercussions. For example, laws giving the government power to curtail political assassinations were abused by Stalin and Hitler to consolidate their dictatorships. This book covers the issues and personalities involved in the courtroom battle over whether the United States would adopt the British doctrine ...

Inside Judy Carrier's Head
I've read all of Scottoline's books, including those not about the all woman law firm, but this one is the best. Judy Carrier, who at most was a snarky side kick in Scottoline's other books, turns out to be athletic, smart and wickedly funny in this story. She's always been reckless and brave, but without her conscience, Mary, around and faced with the annoying younger associate, Murphy, Judy ...

Great Novel that ties in TNG to TOS Doomsday Machine
I read Vendetta a long time ago and really enjoyed it. It dealt with one of my favorite Original Series episodes, "The Doomsday Machine". The story goes into some speculation as to the origin of the machine that the original USS Enterpise encountered at System L-374. If you like Trek, you will love this novel. It was be awsome if they made this story into the next movie.
