Essential to every user of Win7
This is the best book I have ever read on how to get the most out of Windows. I have read books on how to use Windows 3.1, 95,98,XP and Vista and none even come close to the clarity and thoroughness of Windows 7 Step by Step. This book is a must read for every user of Windows 7.

Excellent book..I passed 70-680 after reading it first try
This is an excellent study guide for the 70-680 exam. I spent about 2 weeks reading the book cover to cover and I was able to pass the exam on my first try with a score of 805. I have only been using Windows 7 Enterprise for about a month, so this book really helped me out. FYI the exam has NO SIMULATIONS at this time. I would most certainly purchase another book by Orin Thomas!

The Definitive guide
An excellent resource for anyone using Win 7 as their operating system. In the past, I've found Stanek's books to be extremely well written, informative and useful. This one is better than average and the most comprehensive book I've found on the subject. Obviously the author is a very knowledgeable person, but this book is written in such a way that it is easily understood by a wide range of ...

Can't get by without this reference
Windows 7 For Dummies Book + DVD bundle (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) I bought the book at the same time I bought the upgrade to Windows 7. I could manage without it and figure everything for myself but I why should I. Using this book is like getting together with some of my computer maven friends for a talk.

comes with a CD
This book is huge, which is expected of the WRK. There's a CD glued in the back that has the whole book plus other content. I'll give the paper book to the local high school. I probably could have downloaded the electronic version for a lot less money. --pat
The City Out My Window: 63 Views on New York

Matteo Pericoli

For anyone who loves the human side of New York City
Matteo Pericoli has created a lovely series of drawings showing what New Yorkers see outside their windows. The covers are hard cardboard, giving the feeling of an apartment window casing. The drawings are well done and often quite surprising. I particularly liked the comments that Pericoli gathered from the residents of the apartments about their personal views of the city. On every left page ...

Best Book Ever
I purchased this book even before I received Windows 7. I wanted a "heads up" on what I was geting into. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. Woody Leonhead spells it out and tells you exactly as it is. Even questions you wouldn't think to ask. And, to top that off, he even has put in information that Microsoft wouldn't tell you, e.g., if you download your pictures from either your camera or your ...

Good book - but for new computer users only
I got this book thinking it would have some decent Windows 7 information that was at least an intro to intermediate guide. However, I must say I was kind of surprised at how basic the book truly is. When I say basic, I mean it. It covers things like how to enter text in text boxes, mouse basics, etc. There is very little here that is really dedicated to Windows 7 specific features as most of the ...

Good Starter for Windows 7
This is one of the "plain and simple" series which I have found useful, especially if one is somewhat experienced and looking for the hints on how to move up to the new products. I have just started with Windows 7 and this manual was a good way to "jump start" the process. I had expected a Vista type set of problems with Windows 7 but everything went smoothly and this manual is a good helper. ...

Windows Internals (not just for geeks)
I ordered the book on the basis of my admiration of Mark Russ.. brilliance & in his layman speak about matters as intense & technical as an O/S kernel. However, when i received the book I found it just as crisp in its detail, very low key on the techno speak & abundant with detailed easy to understand technical material. It doesn't leave you googling for explanation on any aspect that it ...
