This is a portable ballhead mainly for travel. I find the controls not as smooth as its big brother. I find the big guns much better in controlling the camera but for the sake of traveling light this is the ballhead for you!

I picked this up from B+H in 2007 and it's a spectacular piece of equipment. It's hand-crafted and absolutely beautiful. It comes in a simple box with foam padding and instructions. Small, light and easy to carry around. Built like a lighter weight travel tripod but shorter. Will easy handle an SLR with a moderate size macro or tele lens.
