Nikon SB-400 AF Speedlight
This little flash does everything I need. It is compact, light weight and it works great. While I can bounce it off of the ceiling for indoor use, you can't turn it side to side, so for vertical shots you can't bounce it. It is one con I can surely deal with though. Unless you're a pro, I'd say this is all you would need in a flash, save your money on more expensive ones.

Amazon is missing some important info in the product description!
I was sent the wrong product but I will not give Sto-fen a lower score because of this. I blame Amazon for not making it clear on their website. Diffusers are different sizes. ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL! This is in the product description for this diffuser... Does what it's suppose to do. However,
my only issue was the price for a piece of plastic. Aside from that, it does an excellent job diffusing light on my SB-600. Pictures aren't "washed out" anymore.

Future proof version of the FL50
If you ever think you might upgrade your back and are deciding between the FL-50 AND FL-50R then the smart money goes on the R. A few items from the existing 4/3 system (such as the FL-50 and the 50-200 mm zoom lens) have "R" versions that work with the new E3 and also the older models. The FL-50R incorporates a radio trigger so that multiple flashes can be setup and triggered from the camera's ...

Great Job!!
First off, I'm a complete amateur, I didn't realize the benefit in an external flash until a couple of weeks ago when i was at a in-door wedding , the professional photographer had a high end flash for her Canon 5D. By chance a few of the photo's i snapped on my XSI were captured with the flash from the pro and those were the best shots in my batch of photos, i was sold. Anyway, after using ...

Can be very usefull
I think this is a must have. Sometimes when the ceiling is low, or very reflective, it can cause uneven exposure, but with the Omni-Bounce does a good job to make the exposure very even. A must-have for me!

Don't buy this flash
This is a terrible flash. You have VERY little control over the flash (about the same amount as you have for the built in flash). The only advantages this flash holds over the built in flash is that it tilts and is a little brighter. Save up your money and buy the SB-600, it will serve you much better than this cheap little knock off.

Great Product. Exactly what I needed
I bought an SB400 for my D40 a few months ago and I loved the light when bouncing it off the ceiling, but I had trouble shooting vertical shots without a white(ish) wall close by or shooting period with a high ceiling. The Omni-Bounce gives great natural light with softer shadows behind the subject. If you want cheap, natural light from the tiny SB400 in nearly any environment, GET THIS!!!! It ...

Pretty good diffuser
This is a good small diffuser. You can just throw it in the bag and carry it around... you never know when a flash might come in handy... I never use a flash without a diffuser. So If you are looking at this you should also take a look at: Gary Fong C3 Cloud Lightsphere II. The only advantage this diffuser has to the C3 is that it's small and easy to carry.

works well for the price
It's pretty decent. It doesn't stay on the flash too well, however. I'll need to rig up something (with velcro, probably) to keep it on.

Works Great!
This was a great buy. So far so good. It came in a timely manor and because it came with the batteries and charger, I was able to plug it in to charge and used it the next day. I can really tell a difference with this flash compared to the camera's built in flash on my Nikon D40X. I took a picture in a dark room with just a little sunlight coming through, and the photo came out looking like I ...

The Opteka flash diffuser creates a diffused bare bulb effect, giving even coverage across the entire frame, with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (and equal in other formats as well). The Opteka diffuser is easy to use and goes onto and off the flash in seconds with custom fitting and no touch fastener. Designed for years of service without the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into a gadget bag or ...

Works as advertised - vastly improves flash photos
I use it on my Canon Digital Rebel XT. It came with detailed instructions on how to set manual flash settings - after setting once the camera remembers them, so any time I want to use the Lightscoop, I just switch the top dial to M, pop open the flash and slide the Lightscoop onto the flash shoe. As long as you have a light-colored ceiling or wall to bounce the flash off of, it works great. ...

Its important to review and improve your product at every turn and Canon has done just that. It's smaller than the previous model 550EX and pumps out more light when needed. Its more user friendly also. While not the cheapest model on the market its well worth the extra dollars for a flash unit designed for Canon cameras. Highly recommended.

Simple yet effective
This seemingly simple piece of molded plastic was recommended to me by Brenda Tharp, a professional photographer. Basically, it's the shape of an open box that slides firmly onto the flash. The Omni-Bounce Diffuser is small and sturdy enough to stash in your camera bag without worrying about damage. When used the light disperses less harshly and more even onto the subject being photographed. ...

Gogo's, snoots and straps are all top notch
I have been using Dave Honl's gobos since shortly after they became available. Same for his speed straps and snoots. They are all top notch. Dave is a pro shooter, and these things are made to take the abuse that pro shooters dish out. The reversible black/white is a nice touch, and makes the gobo useful for lighting a background while flagging your subject. They mount very securely with ...
