This is the third Olympus Stylus 1030 SW I've purchased in the last year for myself and family members. We have had no problems with this camera at all and buying through Amazon is absolutely the way to go. The only negative feature with this camera is very, very low volumn when you use the video side of the camera and Olympus is aware of the problem.

It's worth the extra $100 over the next step down. Great photos right off the bat, and I'm sure they'll get better when I learn everything about the camera--just have to find the time to check out the cd/dvd that came with it. I make closeup shots of animals, and fast-moving shots of sports events. Great results for both.

I really like this camera. If I search really hard my only complaint would be that the video doesn't zoom. But I don't know if any camera does that. I DO recommend buying this camera from AMAZON.COM. It is MUCH cheaper than best buy or ciruit city.
