Canon 77mm UV Haze Filter
As a general practice, I keep this filter on my lens most of the time to protect the front element. I only remove it if there is a good chance that it will induce flare while shooting towards the source of illumination (i.e. the Sun), which is rare. It was delivered promptly and fits and works as advertised.

I ordered this filter to use on a Nikon 28-200mm zoom lens. It arrived promptly and fit the lens perfectly. UV is not as big a problem in the midwest as in some other areas but it is nice to know that the lens is protected from being scratched as well as protecting from UV rays.

Excellent for spooky mood images
Looking through the viewfinder - you see nothing, since all visible light is blocked. Looking at the final pictures - the blue sky is black, leaves and clouds are white - a spooky effect - very cool.

Wonderful lens, wonderful price
I'll keep it simple. If you shoot weddings or events, buy this lens. I've made shots with this lens that I was taught were impossible without a tripod. 400mm (equiv) at 1/25th of a second? Sure, why not! If you can afford a 70-300 IS or a 70-200 IS, great. But I'd recommend you try this lens first. Most folks will find they won't need one of those more expensive lenses.

Great buy, sturdy and durable lens cover
I have had this lens cover for almost a year now, and it has not failed me since. The frame of the lens is made of rigid metal, and the lens is made out of some firm glass. The lens cover screws onto my Canon lens with no problem, and I would expect the same for any other type of lens other than Canon. Overall excellent quality and great durablity.

Good protection for your lens
Ever since I got into digital photography, I never used special filters for any photographic effects. Seems like it is easier to use Photoshop to apply the different effects versus constantly changing filters. But the traditional UV filter works great as protection for the camera lens. I would rather get a smudge or a scratch on a couple dollar filter than on a couple hundred dollar lens.

I bought this mainly for protection of my expensive lenses.....I have always read that putting a cheap glass filter defeats the quality of the lens you are using. The filters are great and the case is much smaller than I thought which makes it easy to fit into my camera bag. Just FYI, if you've never put one on your camera (I hadn't), the filter is threaded.
