Works but not with flash unless modified; worthwhile addition
If one buys a $400 digital camera like an SD500 or SD550, one should not expect a $20 (+$8.00 shipping) lens to work as well as the original. That said, if you do not mind using it without flash, it does an okay job, converting a 37mm to (my estimate) around a 20mm (in 35mm terms) lens. Depending on you quality demands, this is fantastic! Because the add-on does not mate perfectly with the ...

A Bang for Your Money!
A neat functional gadget that effectively gives the A95 a wide angle lens. Easy snap-on system is a cinch to use and surprisingly sturdy once in place. It comes with a lens cap and a nice pouch to store it in. Caveats: 1) Since it snaps on to the regular camera lens, care should be taken not to turn the camera off with the wide angle lens attached, since the regular camera lens will retract ...

Snap-On 1.5x Telephoto Lens for Canon SD700 SD600 SD550 SD450 SD4302 reviews

Not Very Useful
I purchased this lens along with the .5x Wide Angle, but there is no visible difference with the lens attached. I only recommend the Wide Angle, but both are useless with the flash as there is very visible a haze and you have to be very careful with the lenses as they are hooked to the thin plastic edge of the camera aperture which is very near the camera's lens.

Ok in daylight
This lens is ok if you don't need to use the flash. Since there is a space between the lenses, the flash distorts the image. Also, there is a tendency to blur around the edges. Overall, I like it but it does have limitations.
