I wasn't sure about getting a lens without the stabilizer in it. But the cost differnce convinced me to give it a try. Am I glad I did. I used it the first time for my sons football game and didn't want to carry a tripod and was able to take incredible pictures with it.

Great Lens for its money!
I bought this lens for a back up because I have to send my main lens Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM in for repair. At first I did not like it because I was used to the IS feature and the camera shake was horrible.
