this is worth the purchase
i bought this in june to use with nikon d80. use it to take picture of fireworks. it stall a little, but i found out that it was because most d camera ony use up to 4gb. i was using an 8gb. it works great after i switch out the card. before that i also took it for a swim. after that i took it to utha to take pictures of lightnings. i perform very well even after taking it for a swim.

Great product! I've been looking for one of these for months!
Ever since I saw the D200 release cable, I've been wanting something similar for the D80, but nothing is made by Nikon. This product is easy to use and fulfills most of my needs. The only thing it doesn't do, is adjust the aperture, and shutter speeds below 1 sec.

Wired trumps wireless
I bought both the wireless and wired remotes for my new D80. Assuming you're close enough to the camera the wired remote works better...you don't need to tell the camera each time you want to use it. A small square of plywood attached to the button with double stick tape lets me activate the remote with a foot or tooth when I need to have both hands in the picture.
